My sons play a lot of Minecraft, and while I don’t, I do get the draw to the game. Recently my youngest saw wave 1 of Jazwares’ Minecraft action figures and wanted them. He snapped up the first series, and they now sit on his display shelf at home where goes in and fantasizes every so often. He really wants Diamond Armor Steve. I think I got that right…
Wave 1 includes Steve, Enderman, Zombie and Creeper. These are block figures — there’s no missing that, and they stand about 4 inches tall. They do have some articulation: swivel hips, swivel waist, swivel shoulders, and swivel heads. It’s really simple and perfectly replicates the movement in the game. The paint is also done to reflect the pixel-simple world of Minecraft, and each figure comes with an accessory.
These are really cool video game figures, and I can see a ton of value in having three-dimensional figures to pick up and look at on occasion. If you get the papercraft sets, there should be some fun building that you can do.
