I’ve been on a Transformers kick lately. Not much buying, but planning to buy. You know, road mapping a possible new collecting direction. The problem is, I can’t give up what I buy now. Marvel Legends, some NECA, some MOTUC (although that is getting more sparse every month), some upcoming DCC, and some TMNT. So getting more TF Masterpiece figures may not be in the budget. But I want them. Yesssss, wants them. YOTH Prime was probably a bad idea, kicking my wants into high gear. No dear, I did not already preorder Wheeljack and Bumblebee. Nope. Shhhh. It’s Happy Hour!
Thinking about TF Masterpiece and then seeing this Unimetal Megatron makes my heart ache.
This is the Megatron I want in Masterpiece! I don’t know a lot about the Unimetal line but it looks and sounds expensive. And at the end of the day I only really care about the robot modes so deep down inside I hold out hope for a line of just 1:6 scale robot action figures of the Transformers. That I would dive into head first.
Just for reference, here’s the Unimetal Optimus Prime.
DC Collectibles put up solicitations for June and beyond and one this that caught my eye was a new picture for Nightwing.
Looks like the head was tweaked a little bit but for the most part it’s basically the same. What’s weird is that with the death of DCUC and the added articulation and superior sculpting of DCC, I’m not even missing the ab crunch. Funny how priorities can change.

NECA revealed the 1/4 scale Battle Damaged Captain America on their Facebook page today!
Following our first sold-out 1/4 scale figure of Captain America, NECA introduces a new battle-damaged version of the First Avenger!
Based on his appearance in the blockbuster movie The Avengers, Cap stands 18″ tall and has a brand-new, unmasked head sculpt featuring the likeness of Chris Evans, plus new deco showing damage from the battle for New York City.
The truly incredible degree of detail includes over 25 points of articulation, including neck, shoulders, torso, elbows, hips, knees, wrists, and more. The figure comes with interchangeable hands and Cap’s signature shield with straps.
Sticking with NECA for a moment, it’s also Monkey Monday so they threw another Classic Planet of the Apes bone out for us!
“#monkeymonday gives you a peek at some of the pcs in upcoming Gorilla Solider 2 pack plus new guns & human catcher!”
And just to tease Pabs, here’s another couple of pictures of Figma Thor and Iron Man.
Thor’s legs look a little smooth and that’s not the most flattering pose for Tony, but I still love looking at these figures.
And then there’s this…
Yup, I’m right there along with most of you, checking and refreshing the Captain America Legends Infinite Black Widow page on Amazon every damn chance I get. Nearly had her twice tonight, curse you slow 1-Click. I got bored and decided to check the “See All Buying Options” and that was at the bottom of the listings. Are you kidding me? $449.95? INSANE!
So I bought two. What a deal!
Happy Hour’s over!
