What a week. Toy Fair slayed. I went hunting this morning, Wal-Marts are overflowing with Captain America and Spider-Man Legends Infinite. Game of Thrones figures are everywhere and I’m about to get my mitts on some. I was just about to get caught up with all of my wants and needs, just in time to make a whole new, even bigger wishlist. This is a crazy hobby, my friends. But what a hell of a time to be knee deep in it, am I right? Every time we turn around there is something coming at us quick. Could be worse. Could be a few years ago when the future looked bleak. Toylines were scarce. Cyclic. Happy Happy Hour Go!
Magazine scans for Figma Avengers were posted today, giving us our first look at a painted Captain America to go along with Thor and Iron Man!
It’s kinda weird how Cap’s face looks a little more cartoonish than Thor’s but damn if he doesn’t look great! The pose in the bottom left corner of him throwing the shield sells it completely for me. The pecs don’t seem to be as prominent with color on them, blends together nicely. And Thor with articulated hair? Boom!
If I understand it correctly, there are two version of Iron Man, a regular and a deluxe. The deluxe comes with the pieces and attachments for his wrist rocket, shoulder missles, etc. Not sure if that’s an alternate head or a removable mask though.
DC Collectibles released more pictures and info on their Batman: The Animated Series figure line!
6 inch, highly articulated? Sold. Take my money now. Especially with Two-Face and Mr. Freeze coming!
You can read more on DC’s site.Â
I don’t know much about this but the TOA Heavy Industries Synthetic Human looks amazing!
I grabbed these from here but it looks like the pics and info have since been taken down. I do know that it is 1:6 scale (12 inches) and runs about $120. From what’s left on the page it looks like it goes up Feb 28th at 11AM Japan time.
I’m going to abuse my power and just throw up some pics of what made my pants tight at Toy Fair. If for no other reason than to have a list for reference for later, in case my aging brain forgets. But these are pretty unforgettable!
And then there is this…
The trailer and poster for Guardians of the Galaxy hit and it looks….fantastic. I want to see Captain America badly and will go to the theater if I can but I will be seeing Guardian opening night. Sooner, if I can. In case you missed it, here’s a snippet of Rocket’s voice, provided by Bradley Cooper:
Believe me, you will be seeing me talk about this movie a lot more. A lot.
Happy Hour’s over!
