The Actionfigureexpress booth had a few cool MOTU items on display at this year’s Power-Con and a mouse pad for sale featuring fwoosher Nate Baertsch’s (known as Baena here) Castle Grayskull artwork!
Nate also had a booth where he had a large size canvas printed version of his astounding Grayskull art. It was great to see that artwork so large in person without logos and such obscuring the work. Nate also had beautiful prints of some of his MOTU related work for sale like the Shokoti print below.
Actionfigureexpress was selling a mousepad featuring Nate’s Grayskull art. I had to buy one. It’s still available for sale at AFX if you need one and you do.
Also on hand was the Icon Heroes Castle Grayskull add-on set that includes a Filmation inspired bridge, the Talon Fighter and an elevated base.
The highlight for me personally was the painted sample of the new Snake Mountain Statue! This thing is an amazing melding of the vintage toy and Filmation design.
