Darkhorse Comics had some Game of Thrones Merchandise to show off including replicas of military markers used on the show, house sigils and a couple of figures. They looked around 7 inches and didn’t appear articulated at all and are pretty pre-posed, so I think articulation being cut in after the fact is unlikely. They are beautiful sculpts.
