The Toys R Us flagship store, in New York City’s Times Square, is boasting a large, dedicated Avengers/Marvel toy section, leveraging the upcoming Avengers film release. The area is about 20 feet across, and ringed by Marvel toys including Marvel Legneds (only Buck Cap and Drax remain), Marvel Universe, a full range of Avengers toys (figures, vehicles, play accessories, etc.), along with whatever other Marvel product they could find (Heroclix, Lego, etc.)
A large video monitor plays the latest Avengers movie trailer in a loop, and in the middle of it all is an encased diorama built around Hasbro’s 3.75″ movie offerings.
The display has gotten some attention because the display includes figures of Loki’s “alien army”, which up till now had not been revealed.
