This week’s featured custom is Ibentmyman-thing’s Hypno-Hustler.
I grew up reading Spider-Man, so while I have an appreciation of how deep his roster of quality longtime adversaries are, I also enjoy the goofier one-off guys like Spot, BigWheel, Rocket Racer or the above hustler of hypnosis. These guys weren’t particularly dangerous or challenging foes to Spidey, but they usually managed to make for an interesting 22 page diversion.
Beyond the love of bizarre comic characters, there is a lot to like in this custom. First off, Benty found a use for that god-awful HML 1 Banshee headsculpt. I love the fully sculpted guitar and the afro is perfection. The vox box piece below the neck looks particularly smooth and factory perfect.
