This week’s featured custom is Skullder’s Space Ghost.
This custom appeals to me on a couple of levels. Space Ghost is cartoon I grew up watching, so there is a definite nostalgia factor there for me. I also love the base body choice. The classically super heroic DCUC body sculpt seems particularly appropriate for this classically heroic Alex Toth designed character. The use of the Lightray figure also eliminates the issue that is the bane of every super-articulated figure customizer’s existence: paint rub. Skullder did a nice job merging the Spaceghost figure parts with the Lightray parts, giving the figure a smooth factory fresh finish. He also fits in great with the DCUC figures.
