Bandai: Star Wars Model Kit Boba Fett Full Reveal and Future Release Info

Bandai Star Wars Model Kit Boba Fett Promo Featured

Bandai has posted full details for the 1:12 scale model kit Boba Fett, along with info on when we’ll hear news on the next Star Wars model kit release.

I’m still interested in how the armor scuffs are going to be done exactly. The front belt pouches still kind of worry me in the “can’t kick forward”  sense, but the large picture seems to show they hang loose and move a little. We shall see.

Fett comes with his jet pack, blaster rifle and pistol, two sets of hands (one set weapon holding, one set of fists), and a base that looks to be Cloud City. The range finder and jet pack nozzles are movable, and the cape seems to be on a hinge.

Boba Fett will release on September 30th. AmiAmi has already sold through their pre-orders but HLJ just listed him, as did Hobby Search.

Bandai also announced that new model kits will be revealed next Friday, Sept. 4, or Force Friday. Waiting until the embargo is up makes me think that the new product will be Episode VII related, but Pabs is hoping for Dengar. I am too.

  1. I reckon those front pockets will be hinged at the belt- a bit like the Gundam front skirts. Still, this looks like a great figure, and I bet he’ll be s ton of fun to scuff up!

  2. Loose ankles? They shouldn’t be loose. I got 4 of these troopers and all have tight ankles and stand really great. You should revise you didn’t any mistake while assembling it.

  3. I finally caved in and picked up my first model kit, the Stormtrooper. Looks great, blends fairly well with both BS and Figuarts. My only complaint is that his ankles are really, really loose. They just spin like crazy if I’m not careful.

Not sure I’m 100% on board with the kits as of right now. We’ll see what the future brings. As for Fett? Eh… I recently picked up the Revoltech one, and it has become my absolute favorite — nitpicks not withstanding, of course. But who knows? Your review/build of the trooper sold me on that one; you may just get me to buy another Fett yet.

  4. This will be “my“ fett. I wasn’t a big fan of the previous versions that have been released (black series and revoltech).
