With the death of DCUC, I was not expecting to see much of interest at Mattel’s DC section, but there were a few items that I found interesting. I thought the Batman ’66 line was pretty much done, but thankfully they are getting an Yvonne Craig Batgirl out. The card next to Batgirl and a Batman and Robin said multi-pack, so they may make us buy these two again to get the coveted Batgirl. I really liked the Bat-Accessory pack with iconic items from the show like the Batzooka, Bat-Shark Repellent, the Bat Computer and even an Adam West as Bruce Wayne head sculpt.
Mattel did have an impressive Super Powers inspired display. It’s still a little too soon for me to fully enjoy any sort of DCUC retrospective, though.
They had some smaller scale Arkham figures out, including some interesting thugs with a glowing effect to them.
I’m not into the Total Heroes line, but the Black Manta, Wonder Woman and Hawkman figures were pretty cool looking.
I really don’t know what they are thinking with the 12 inch line. That Batmobile looks a little kiddie even for a pre-school line.
