Eren Yeager is the second release from the incredibly popular Attack on Titan figures from Figma. The first release sold out quickly and was in such demand that Figma immediately released another run of the figure. Recently, I reviewed the second run of Mikasa Ackerman — another character from Attack on Titan, and Eren is very similar to Mikasa, so there’s not much to review in that regard.
Standard with all the Figma figures, you get a stand and a ton of accessories that allow collectors to pose their figure in their manga/anime likenesses. Everything is top-notch quality, but the blades and some of the clear plastics have a brittleness to them that might keep you from playing with them too much. Mine have yet to break, but as my youngest said he’d rather his older brother mess with some of the parts as he is afraid to break them.
The articulation is fantastic and I continue to love the playability of Figma action figures. We had a little scare with Eren as his ab joint would pop out constantly, but I remedied the problem by heating the ab joint with a blow dryer for a good 10 minutes and then popped the joint back into the ab. That seemed to fix it, and so far no ab-popping issues. The breakdown is:
Rocker ankles
Hinged ankles
Swivel ankles
Hinged knees
Swivel thighs
Ball hips
Ball waist
Double ball ab
Ball shoulders
Hinged shoulders
Swivel bicep
Hinged elbows
Swivel wrist
Hinged wrist
Swivel neck
Hinged neck
Swivel head
The paint on these Figma figures is really well done, and I’m impressed with each and every one. Eren is no exception. My kids are currently having a tug of war as to who gets him, and we are still negotiating. In other words, this is a great figure, buy two! You can still pick him up at:
