RIP Dorkside. Sounds like there is some interesting behind the scenes drama that will one day come out. Hope everyone gets at least some, if not all of their pre-order money back.
They are having a fire sale right now till the 18th then the doors close I suspect they havent reduced their entire stock yet but as the days go on im suspecting they will! Buy at your own risk though!
Yea, surprising number of things still at full price. Not much of a fire sale. Keeping an eye on it in case you’re right and the rest of it dips down.

Well this sucks. I discovered Dorkside via this forum back in 2016 when the Juggernaut wave was about to be released. I never had issues with them and it was a great to get Mezco figures without having to pay their stupid NRD. I guess I'll stick with Amazon, BBTS, and Pulse for my Legends preorders.

Wow, it seems like that all happened pretty quickly. The last preorder I had with them was the X-Men retro wave just starting to show up. That was only a few months ago.

It seemed like business was going really well for them.

Those full price items might be things they can still return to the manufacturer, or have another store willing to take the inventory at or near cost, so no need to discount.

Makes sense! Thanks for explaining!

This is a real bummer. Seeing a small business close up, especially one I've always had good transactions with, hits me pretty good.

I didn’t do much business with DS other than their sales recently but they got a lot of good reviews here so I wish them well.

I placed another order with them today to support them in their hard time.

So that’s 2 orders I have with them,1 about to ship and this one today. If things don’t ship my CC company will take care of it.

Good luck to DS employees

When you're talking about small independent companies, those are the ones you need to watch out for. Icarus, and all that.

Well, I guess that seals it. It's a shame, but I wish them all well.

Might sound silly, but what are the odds an order we place now would actually ship? I assume they're trying to get rid of as much stock as possible so the chances of them not shipping something is pretty low, no? Been seeing people online warning against buying now, but I can't tell if they're just being snarky.

I'm hesitant to buy anything from them right now. I mean there's nothing they have for sale that I NEED but it wouldn't hurt to get some figures for cheap for custom fodder. If they don't deliver I can always report it with my bank or credit card company but sometimes it can be a hassle trying to get situations like that taken care of.

That's actually the only thing I'm really tempted to buy.

Seeing as they have been shipping in stock orders, based on comments in this (and a few other) threads, I would chalk it up to general internet trolling to "get even" or some other perceived slight.

Order now at your own risk.

A couple of weeks ago, they charged my card for the Action Force exclusive infantry commando which I had pre-ordered, created a shipping label and then never sent anything. Never responded to my emails asking them for more information, or a refund if the item wasn't coming. Had to get my credit card company involved.
