That's a weird thing for them to say. They've done plenty of obscure figures that are less interesting than those.Thor-El wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 8:26 pmWell that just flat-out sucks. Pretty damn short-sighted. All they're doing is costing themselves sales.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 wave (2023)
That’s lame Hasbro.
But I own every Guardians figure made by either Toybiz or Hasbro. If Walmart actually does deliver the old school Starlord I’ll have that one.
Regarding these Guardians man I’d love versions of the recent game. Such a fun game.
Bring on more Guardians. But man that’s lame. The 4” Yondu was cool. I’ll take a 6” version.
Are the designs too difficult to pull off in reuse?
Charlie 27 could be a juggernaut reuse. Starhawk and Martinex would be very tough. Nighthawk from Defenders didn’t sell well with that crazy cape.

All your excitement will turn to rage when Martinex on the Retro Iceman body and Charlie-27 on Hyperion body are revealed.

I’m not sure that was what they said. I think they expressed measured enthusiasm for doing the whole team - especially in a single shot - but didn’t say they’d never get made.Thor-El wrote:Well that just flat-out sucks. Pretty damn short-sighted. All they're doing is costing themselves sales.

We have Vance. Yondu is on their radar. They can't "get through" Starhawk, Martinex and Charlie-27? I thought they were all about team completion...
Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 wave (2023)
The only reference I know is Boog's second NYCC interview with Ryan and Dan (no Dwight). Quoting Ryan: "I don't think we can get through all of the comic Guardians" in reference to Boog specifically asking about the original Guardians and Ryan acknowledging us asking for Yondu who is on their radar.H-bird wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 9:47 pmI’m not sure that was what they said. It's not just the Guardians. That's also true of Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, or really any other property that really blew up because of the MCU. Even Captain America hasn't had a dedicated wave since 2016, when Civil War came out.
Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 wave (2023)
Most likely they're not getting to those characters because there only tend to be Guardians waves when there's a Guardians movie in theaters, and the character selection in those waves is prioritized to the actual movie characters for obvious reasons.

I liked Swole Beefcake Groot. I'd pick him up for sure. Wonder if he's gonna be a deluxe, or, if he appears in vol. 3 the same way, maybe a BAF for the movie? I doubt they'd have him out by the holidays anyway.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 wave (2023)
There was a deluxe mentioned to be released so that makes sense. $50 if I'm not mistaken. I wonder if the BAF is the villain of the movie though.joshsquash729 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:22 pmI liked Swole Beefcake Groot. I'd pick him up for sure. That'd be just the way. I definitely want her way more than the villain of the movie.
