A Target I went to this morning had three Recondo's and six B.A.T.S. on the pegs. They finally got rid of the Snake Eye's movie figures that have been peg warming for the longest.

What exactly is Recondo's side arm supposed to be? Some sort of concealable Ruger? A pseudo-Makarov? He can barely brandish it. I get James Bond and his comically small Walther, but this character seems like the sort that would have some type of bush/hog revolver similar to what Crocmaster had, and even that seemed too small for that sized figure.

Recondo's pistol doesn't exist in real life and is essentially a mix between a 1911 compact and a Sig P320 compact.

Recondo delayed until Sunday, but en route. PP Office still on Backorder. At Target today I of course find Recondo. Hopefully the amount of pegs means these things will be plentiful.

Hasbro Pulse has the set with PP Officer and TF Recondo and Bazooka now shipping February 2 instead of February6. All 3 figures are still up for pre order if anyone needs them.

I received Recondo yesterday. I am loving this line. GI Joe has definitely taken over as my priority collection line. I almost completely stopped collecting Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black Series is highly selective. I’m not happy about the price increase to $25, but I do feel like we are getting a better value. I also don’t have the mentality that I have to have every iteration of a character either. I’m so excited about the future releases and it’s a feeling I haven’t had for the other lines I collect for a while.

You know what? I take it back. Took a second look at the gun and there is no 1911 in there. It is a very VERY close approximating of a Sig Sauer P320 XCompact.

Grabbed Duke and Recondo at Target tonight. I really hope that a future TF Flint uses this "Falcon" upper body that's used on Recondo and not a straight repaint of the previous Flint. At least the arms. I only had the TF versions of Duke, Roadblock, Bazooka and Recondo as a kid so those have always been my defaults but this Duke really says "Duke" more to me than the first release. Still I look forward to grabbing the regular versions of Recondo and Bazooka. Not sure which will be my default display versions. TF Duke wins out though.

Appreciate the insight. But he needs a larger more obvious gun, like a .357 with a scope on it if we're going with nonsense guns. It's akin to what they gave Marvel Legends Quake/Maria Hill for a sidearm.

I returned from a trip to South America and the Amazon rainforest last week to find Recondo delivered. He is my spirit animal now.

I finally got around to open my Recondo. His hip joints didn’t have that tell tale resistance so I didn’t need to put shock oil. Another cool Joe figure. Like others have said earlier though, his sidearm doesn’t seem to fit his motif. He gives off that stereotypical safari hunter vibe so I expected his sidearm to be some kind of long barrel 357 magnum or something. And he should have come with binoculars. His rifle should have come with a scope attachment.

This leads me to wonder if Hasbro should give the normal release versions different or slightly different weapons. Like if normal Recondo came with the weapons I mentioned or if Bazooka came with a rifle or sidearm. It would give collectors incentive to double dip whether for better or worse. Target PP and TF releases will have the incentive of repainted earlier releases of normal figures while later normal release will have the incentive of different or added on weapons/gear. They kinda already did that with TF Duke with his retro rifle.

I was surprised to find two Recondos and a beat up TF Duke/cycle today at my local Target. Looked like the box was ripped so you might find Duke or possibly not in that box.

Got Python Patrol Officer in the mail from Target. Love this figure! This color scheme is super nostalgic for me. I have such fond memories of the original figure. This Classified version is such a nice recreation. As with the previous Cobra Officer, the base figure is excellent. Fantastic range of motion and tons of gear. I love how the torso articulation is not inhibited. Of course the bright jingle camouflage is the distinguishing aspect of this figure.

Recondo arrived and PP Officer shipped! Says it's going to take a full week to get here, but so long as he arrives I'm happy.
