How deep do we think McFarlane will go with Kingdom Come?

I'm expecting at least Big Three but there are a lot of other nice designs and some are ridiculously easy if you're doing other DC figures.

Green Lantern feels like a must since GL figures seem to be one of Todd's bestsellers. Ditto Flash and it's essentially a blank body with a new head.

Captain Marvel feels like a great one to do because it's the most marketable way to do the classic suit. (Although his post-Dark Crisis suit is close. Still, why wouldn't you reference Alex Ross's face portrait?)

Magog is also shaping up to be important to the current DCU and feels like a design Todd would have fun with.

Beyond those 7, I'm less sure. But there are a lot of easy designs (Captain Atom, Kid Flash can open up a teenage female buck) and a lot of GOOD designs (Nightstar, Red Robin). With Todd's screwball choices for Megafigs, it would feel like a crime not to do Alloy, especially since Todd could check the box that he'd done the Metal Men without Tin pegwarming at retail.

The nice thing about Kingdom Come is that you don't need any villains. (Villains rank with female figures and civilians as historic underperformers with key exceptions that still make it worth doing. It's not REALLY that these things never sell. They're just higher risk. They either don't sell OR you can't make enough.) I mean, KC Lex Luthor is fairly minor and essentially Byrne Luthor. Joker, you can do but he dies in a flashback. Riddler and Catwoman are glorious but essentially civilians. KC is pretty much the one big DC story where you can make nothing but heroes since it's a civil war. The only drawback is that Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman's side is stacked with bigger names.

Picked up a second Batman: Year Two set after my original one had both arms snap at the bicep - opened this one, heated up all the joints and seemed fine, then it cooled and guess what? Bicep broke on the right arm

Are there any other Multiverse figures that might be good/similar enought for an arm swap? Otherwise will have to leave him with an arm permanently glued in place?

Also seriously - what the hell is up with the plastic in these being so damn brittle!

Eradicator came in from CMD Store/Amazon today. Four days early. He’s just about perfect and I’m not overly familiar with this version.

And while I hope the classic Caucasian version does come out eventually, I’ll probably skip him. He works well enough for my purposes. And if he’s this good, how amazing will Cyborg Supes and John Henry be?

I have such a soft spot for the New Teen Titans. I was a Marvel kid, my regular comic pulls were X-Men, Avengers, Two-in-One and Team-Up with occasional forays into other titles. New Teen Titans was the first DC book I started buying - my brother let me read a couple and I fell in love. That Wolfman/Perez team was firing on all cylinders. Anyway, I'm a sucker for the Titans so may have to keep an eye on these.
The NTT spawned Paul Levitz second run on the Legion and it was a game changer. All Star Squadron brought Roy Thomas and Rich Buckler into the mix. Gene Colan followed Wolfman to DC to draw Night Force. And then somebody hired some Brit no one ever heard of to write Swamp Thing. Some dude named Moore. I heard he went on to big things.

So yeah, gimme some Titans Todd. If the rumors are correct, it’s Nightwing, Donna, Beast Boy, Arsenal, and Raven. Wave 2 could be anchored by Wally West and have Starfire, Cyborg, and Tempest with a Brother Blood CtB. I almost said Mammoth, but he needs to be Kalibak sized.

I dunno. I mean the only depth we’ve seen thus far is in the Metal/Death Metal stuff. And it continues if you believe the rumors. And I do believe.

So hypothetically:

Big 3 plus Green Lantern, Hawkman, Flash, Red Robin, Power Woman, Spectre, Magog, Captain Atom, and Captain Marvel for sure. I think you can squeeze another dozen out before fan fatigue and attrition set in.

Magog seems obvious and Todd loves Flash. I'm pretty surprised we have NOTHING Hawkman related where comics are concerned.

Scumbag Rich Johnston of Bleeding Cool took some pics McFarlane booth pics at the London Toy Fair. I can’t make out too much, but I think I see a new Superman, unless it’s just the AC1K version. I’m hoping it’s a KC Superman, though. Image

Just curious as to whether I'm not the only one who thinks that Superman's chest emblem is on backwards? Was there a time where it was in the comics, or is this just a flipped around picture? I assume it's not flipped as the words on the wall are correct in the second picture.

One of the things that still bothers me about the Return of Superman was that Clark didn’t have a beard and long hair when he emerged from the regeneration matrix. The long hair appeared when he drops out of the battle suit in Metropolis. It’s a minor detail, but it bothers me.

It is a bit funny considering Hawkman was important to Metal and the only representation he's gotten has been Batman Who Laughs wearing his wings on a cover.

That's a funny trend in comics toys, incidentally. Doing figures (or comics in some cases) based on variant cover designs. Hasbro and Funko have pulled a lot of Venomized characters from those as well and Gwenpool famously started off as a Gwen Stacy themed cover variant before being reinterpreted as a character with no connection to Gwen Stacy OR Deadpool.

Yeah, I want Sky Tyrant in a big way. And a bunch of other Hawks. Including Kingdom Come Hawkman.

And I really only want story characters for figures. Representations from alternate covers that aren’t part of the story are pretty useless in my eyes. No matter how cool they look.

I'm late to the game on this figure because I never saw it locally and every time I caught it on the app/website it was from a 3rd party seller for 3 times retail.

I finally found one on eBay for just over retail and fair shipping.

...and to jump back to a conversation from a couple pages back. I also want a shiny suit Wally Flash from the 90s. He was my Flash and Kyle was my GL as a teen, because I thought Hal and Barry were too boring back then.
