I got swaps in a windowless ML boxed set from Amazon but this is different. Still can't fully fault Amazon for taking it back unless they were processed by another collector that was able to catch the swap. However this is something that has always bothered me about the hobby. Don't mean to sound like a gate-keeper or anything but this is a pay to play hobby. If you can't afford your toys it may not be for you. I'm kind of a self-loathing adult collector because I've seen all the stereotype behavior at stores. I've seen all the man-child behavior. Men in their 30s having temper tantrums. Trying to steal parts or accessories from figures. It's just sad. $25 is a lot for a robot spider guy but come on. I'm been collecting since figures like this were $10 and I live on an army retirement but if I can't budget a toy, I can't budget a toy. I wish more collectors were more realistic about the hobby. There's always been the hobby vs lifestyle approach to collecting.

I'm sorry to see this. I'll keep my eyes peeled in my area. If I find one for you and you're cool with cost +shipping, it's yours.

BBTS still has him in stock so I'll probably go that route. It's more the principle of it all that angers me. As you said, people stealing and swapping things like this is just a bad look. And frustrating for us, the people that actually pay for these. And they're not cheap anymore. I personally have to be picky nowadays and have to try and find alot of them on sale. So when I buy these specific ones for whatever reason, its disheartening when this happens and sometimes makes me wonder why I bother. Sucks the joy out of it.

Got Tarn yesterday from Pulse. I don't know a lot about the character other than what I've read and seen from Google searches, but this is a very lithe interpretation of the character. He looks way larger in other 3D toy representations and in the comic art. That said, he's a cool figure. Simple conversion for a voyager. I like the versatility of the double-barreled weapon, how it can mount on his back or arm, or combine into a long rifle. What other figures do we have that would display well with this guy? What era of TF is he from?

Still waiting on Inferno to start showing up...

Pulse had him in stock at some point, but quickly sold out.

Tarn is from some comics. He’s the leader of the brutal Decepticon Justice Division. Like Decepticon special police who hunt down traitors.

No teammates for him yet. Mostly you’d put him in battle setups. Or have him standing with Overlord.

You could have him hunt down Black Shadow or the Foragers (Krok, Spinister, Skytread/Flywheels, Misfire, Crankcase).

Or have Tarn fight Grimlock, Overlord, or Megatron.

I missed the preorder for Inferno on Pulse, but Amazon had him for retail earlier this month so I snagged him there.

Thanks for pointing me to Amazon. He just happened to be back down to retail now!

Grabbed Tarn tonight at Target. Have no connection to the character but the figure is a good as I was hoping based on the reviews. Always glad to welcome another really powerful Decepticon to the ranks.

Next wave up for pre-order:

I didn't expect this, but I'm most excited for the Junkions this year.

Have to say, wasn’t really impressed with the live stream, only ordered 1. Maybe It’s just time to move on from transformers for me? Anyone else underwhelmed by today?

I wouldn't say I was underwhelmed but a lot of what was revealed was either, already leaked, or to be expected. I have definitely slowed down on TFs. I kind of hit the wall with Kingdom/Legacy. I pick up the odd item here or there, but I have sold off way more than I have bought in the past 6 months.

I'll never completely move on from TFs, but like with most lines now I am much more selective.

I've been this way for about a year. Not really digging the whole "mix and match" approach to this wave, and with price hikes and (IMO) quality going down since Siege, it's hard to be excited for upcoming figures. Having said that, there are of course great figures out there like Blaster. They're not all bad. The last time I was excited to pick up a TF it was the new Elita-1, and she's so loose and floppy, she can't do really hold any poses and was binned right away.

Might pick up Crashbar and Twincast. The Junkions have been looking pretty stellar all things considered.

Tarn and possibly Transmetal Megatron will be bought on sight.

I ordered Shrapnel and Skyquake. And Scourge from the Studio Series.

I vaguely remember Metalhawk, but not really.
