Reviving this thread. Pics are on Toy Ark (and other sites) for their Blue TDKR Batman and Carrie Kelly Robin set. You can also just get Robin by herself.

Only bummer is they used the "standard" yellow oval symbol, rather than the stylized one from TDKR. Oh well, still instant PO, as soon as it goes up (likely tomorrow).

The sculpted parts look decent... but the soft goods look Mego-y. Batman's suit looks like it has a thread-count of ten.

Mafex set looks better but I could be tempted by this one as well. Soft goods, Robin. Tough to pass on. Lets see what the cost is.

I wonder how tall Kelly is? I know Beast Kingdom tend to tower over other figures but I wouldn't mind her to kickbash into a older Dick Grayson Robin/Jason Todd Robin.

The blue/grey Batman is 8 inches tall (20.5cm), while Carrie is 6.3 inches tall (16cm).

My hunch is that they won't be selling the Blue Bats by itself, only as part of the set. Waiting for these to go up on the BK site, they ship much more quickly than BBTS (in my experience).

I also messaged them directly on IG re: the status of the Black/Grey Bats, they replied:

"The product has entered the final production stage, and relevant shipping information is expected around the end of October."

It's really odd that both this and the MAFEX both have that standard 1980s Bat-symbol instead of the very stylized one Frank used in the book.

(Even Mezco blew it...their very first prototype pics had it right but the actual Previews Ex version had a different take. It was stylized, but it wasn't like in the book.)

I'd assume this is some kind of DC mandate, but Todd just revealed two Batman figures (Year 2 and Three Jokers) that also have a stylized take on the symbol.

Just very strange all around...seems like there's no consistency.

The 89 Batman and Joker went up on BBTS today for preorder. Put mine in, as I'm a sucker for Batman 89, but I hope the figures are worth the price.

I've got just about every major Storm figure released to date, and I skipped Darkseid because I felt like his head was too... tiny and humanoid, I guess. It just rubbed me the wrong way to the point where I contemplated buying it and putting the older Mattel DC Unlimited head on it. This new one is more up my alley and if it's both cheaper than the Storm (at current market price) and roughly big enough (Storm Lobo height or taller) when reviews come out, I'll put down for it.

I really wanted that Joker, but $130 is too rich for my blood. I'd probably bite if it came with alternate "museum scene" head sculpt.

I know what you mean. It's a bit steep, but my reckoning is that if I get this one, I'm not going to want/need another Batman 89 figure. That and they're not out for another year, which gives me time to make sure I have the money etc.

Yeah, that's fair (regarding the year). I wonder if they're a little higher to offset Jack's license, I can't imagine his rights were cheap.
