Re: Official Toys on Sale Thread
They actually opened a FYE during the pandemic at a mall in my city. I dont buy anything there though because the figures are ridiculously expensive (39.99 for ML, etc..).

Anyone who buys a marvel legend at FYE has never owned a marvel legend.

Re: Official Toys on Sale Thread
The only time I bought a Legend from FYE was a few years back and they had Lizard Wave Mysterio on the pegs for 25 bucks, which was a 5 dollar mark-up from MSRP, but way cheaper than what he was going for on the secondary market at the time. Never before or since, though.

Re: Official Toys on Sale Thread
The 20th Iron Man was $49.99! Really, the only figures near their standard prices were the $14.99 Super7 Reaction figures. Neca used to be close, but now they're selling newer figures like Elvira for $50.

Re: Official Toys on Sale Thread
Suncoast used to be my jam, so that's a bummer to hear. I would hope that the last ones survived by virtue of awesomeness, but I guess not.
The old Suncoast in my local mall was where I got my first Gundam models and figures, where I got my original 151 Pokemon poster back in '98, where I got my first DVD (Dogma), where I got my most prized action figure (Toynami Bender) and where I used to watch movies on the TV bank facing the interior of the mall on my breaks from work with one of the local homeless dudes that everyone knew as Hard Hat Harry or Construction Hat Man.
He was cool and had good taste in movies, but he was convinced that he had been abducted by aliens and the hard hat was the only thing keeping them from finding him again. One day, years later, I saw a lone construction hat sitting upside-down on the sidewalk near the mall, and I could only exclaim in fear that the aliens must have come back for him. Never saw him again after that, but I'm sure the real story of what happened was far sadder, so I choose to believe the fantastical bullshit instead.

Damn, Nik. Is your taste still god-tier?
Suncoast used to stock the hell out of Joyride's Halo: Combat Evolved line. I bought like 20 figures from them one day.

Re: Official Toys on Sale Thread
I bought plenty at Suncoast back in the day, mainly Palisades Muppets figures. I remember more of what I passed on and regretted eventually, like Palisades Ren and Stimpy, or NECA Ghostbusters Terror Dogs. “What use will I have for these without actual Ghostbusters figures?” Couple decades later, I’ve got four different sets from four different companies. Plus two sets of better articulated Terror Dogs. I remember also seeing Mezco’s comic Hellboy figures at Suncoast, but did not buy. I think I was thriftier then, waiting for discounts and clearance.

I was the same, we were all probably far more thriftier back then. I am kicking myself now for passing up on a lot of great Tower Records and Suncoast finds. Hellboy series 1 and Sota SF especially.NORM wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 12:01 pmI bought plenty at Suncoast back in the day, mainly Palisades Muppets figures.
