Re: MARVEL SELECT - Mr. Fantastic
I think the paint on that statue is particularly striking, but I don't really see the point in going back and forth about it. To each their own.

Re: MARVEL SELECT - Mr. Fantastic
I'll try to share some size comparison pics once I have MODOK in hand. We'd probably never do him as an articulated MS because he wouldn't fit in MS packaging and he would break the MS pricing tier. But as a Gallery Diorama we can put him in a window box and make him nice and big. All the talk of dynamic posing makes me laugh, though.
Looking at some dates, and it looks like Skrull and Apocalypse should both be in the warehouse next month. Hopefully people dig 'em!

Re: MARVEL SELECT - Mr. Fantastic
I was trying to see what statue could work in a normal collection,i think this MODOK and the Mysterio the only ones that could workEnigmaticClarity wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 2:34 pmI've moved on from statues to figures entirely now so I'm biased, but with MODOK this seems particularly true--why would anyone buy a statue like that over the Legends MODOK? They seem really similar in size and deco, but the figure seems SO much more flexible with dynamic posing.
I guess there are some people who really can't stand articulation breaks and that's why they would opt for a statue over a figure when they're so similar?

Re: MARVEL SELECT - Mr. Fantastic
MS should work on fleshing out their classic Spidey villains as some of the ones they've already made (Green Goblin, Rhino, Sandman, etc) are some of their better figures.

Re: MARVEL SELECT - Mr. Fantastic
Yeah I'm waiting to see Apocalypse in person. I actually don't like what I see with him, they went with some amalgamation version where they combined multiple looks or something... Which I can't stand when they do that.
Then there's the face.

Re: MARVEL SELECT - Mr. Fantastic
Just had to pipe in regarding Vision. It hit all my buttons. Good figure! First MS figure I've gotten in a while.
Question: When will comic Taskmaster, originally sold as an exclusive, be re-issued for general release? Hopefully not as long as other once-exclusives like Spectacular Spider-man.

Re: MARVEL SELECT - Mr. Fantastic
No plans to re-issue comic Taskmaster.
Apocalypse pre-sold out, so hopefully everyone who likes him pre-ordered.
New MS reveal 2/17.

I'd buy a MS Death's Head in a heartbeat! Exactly the kind of design I like most from them.
I believe this constitutes a quorum and thus obliges Diamond to make him. Can't wait to see it!
