Where are the Brood?

Tue Jun 08, 2021 11:57 pm

I was thinking about this last night as I was re-reading some old Uncanny x-men. Yeah, we got a Brood Queen 14 years ago, and selects gave us sleazoids in the Brood / Skrull two pk the same year. ( I missed out on those those. Yes it does suck).
I would love to get the Brood in Marvel Legends especially now that the pin-less tech seems to be working well enough for them.

Can Hasbro make them with the proper amount of articulation points ( I reckon 36-38 ) and keep them price friendly as part of a wave so you can army build them or would they have to be sold at a higher price point as a "deluxe" figure, making the idea of army building less appealing for some?

Those Select Brood were awesome looking. Hell, the Toybiz aren't that bad with some paint apps. I would happily take more.

What was the name of the Brood that was part of Hulk's Warbound group? Was she significantly different from a regular Brood to warrant a repaint on a new Brood Warrior mold?

The Select Brood and Skrulls used the ToyBiz sculpts from the planned Bag Guys/Henchmen wave, correct? I wonder who has those molds, if anyone. If Hasbro does the Brood in particular would make a great Pulse army builder release.

I picked up a few of the MS Broods back in the day, but I would totally be down for a re-release of the Brood/Skrull set or just a 2-pack of Brood. They're still really great looking toys.

These were readily available at FYE when I got into legends. And they had a wall full of these, watcher, thanos and mephisto for $7.99. I bought like 5 of these and traded one set at one point.

But yeah if I knew then, I could have bought the whole wall and made out like a bandit.

The Brood are hanging out with the original Guardians of the Galaxy, Starjammers, Imperial Guard, missing Infinity Watch members and all the other cosmic characters in Marvel Legends limbo land.

I’m glad ai have a few of the Marvel Select Brood but imo the Queen would be prime for a redo; I have never been able to get her in a cool pose and she seems very squat and static. BQ and Danger are both very gummy now.

I never even finished mine. Always wanted to. But I never saw the Cap figure in store and he's too expensive for me to care anymore on the aftermarket, last I checked anyway. But BQ figure itself is a really cool design imo.

They would make a great army building figure, seeing as they were like the Xenos in Aliens.
I love the Brood Saga story & their reappearance later in the Outback was cool too.
Man X-Men in the 80s were at their peak IMO in terms of quality stories.
