Per WWE.com Strowman, Black, Murphy, Lana,Riott, and Santana Garrett released. This company makes no sense.
If you asked me to make a safe list from WWE releases, Bruan woulda been on it. Wonder if there's more to his release

Just saw that on Yahoo and said No frikken' way that's true and immediately went to WWE.com.

Braun looks better than ever and was just in top title matches. The vignette's for Aleister Black have been awesome. And Murphy has loads of potential and is a great worker. Hell, Ruby never got a fair shot, but with her "look", and Vince, that never surprised me, nor does her release.

There's dozens of other wrestlers I'd let go before any of these for.

Lana likely wanted released so she could be with her hubby.

Word directly from Black is that it's a budget thing, at least in regards to his release. I can't imagine that he was commanding an exorbitant amount of cash, but whatever. It's plausible. Braun, though... it doesn't line up quite as well. The guy has to be a merch mover, well into the upper ranks of the current active roster. Dumping him is really bizarre.

The rumor mill is starting up once again that WWE is trimming the fat to prepare for its sale to NBC or whoever else, and the "Vince is a control freak/will run WWE until he dies" counter argument is running strong to tamp it down.

Braun just signed a huge new deal in 2019, where he was getting a reported 7 figures a year.

Nick Kahn is cutting a lot of people with $$$$ contracts that creative can't seem to find anything to do with.

Rumor was creative was told to hold off on doing anything else with Black after he showed up on Smackdown.

Braun is such a pro WWE guy that the only reason I can see him being cut is money related, as Kahn apparently comes from sports, where you constantly "trim the fat" on big contracts or people not being used. He likely has no clue who any of these people are.

RKBro is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I usually can't stand Randy's "acting", but the way he is playing off Riddle is hilarious! [email protected]#$ love it.

So WWE will separate them in a week or 2. Do a Hurt Locker Benjamin/Alexander W.T.F. to them.

Remember kids... drinking and driving gets you a major WWE title so long as you're related to one of the top guys. [email protected]#$ gross.

With talks of Danielson and Punk both heading AEW’s way, I really don’t know what to think of WWE’s future. AEW is far from perfect, but they put on a fun show every week and have a fan base that is excited for their product. They know who their audience is and they cater to them.

WWE is so lost. Their show isn’t made for children or adults. Booking makes no sense. They have NXT that does things right but then those guys get called to Raw or SD and get turned into a nonsensical Vince reimagining and squashed. Just this past Raw we see Keith Lee return after 6 months and get beaten clean in a match up that should’ve headlined a PPV. And we are Karrion Kross debut after over a year of being undefeated in NXT and he gets beat in 3 minutes by a guy they haven’t pushed in forever.

Somethings going to have to change. Either Vince moves aside and lets HHH take over or WWE is going to dig itself into a HUGE hole to come out of. I certainly don’t see them going out of business anytime soon, at least not before Vince passes and they’re forced to find someone else to take over.

Keith Lee's loss was WWE's way of punishing him over the name dispute. Because they are petty like that. Kross going down just shows how little Vince cares about NXT. What the [email protected]#$.

And Goldberg. [email protected]#$ Goldberg. Like Hogan, I've never liked the guy or got why he was over. Zero talent. He just has the "look".

Archer vs Mox was brutal. That double chair spot probably still hurts

Yup. And my understanding is less that it's Vince, and more that it's Kevin. Kevin Dunn reportedly hates Triple H and actively tries to sabotage everything Trips does. Kevin is in charge of the main roster. So that would explain why virtually EVERY home-grown NXT talent that Triple H likes gets utterly buried or completely changed from their NXT persona.
Kevin is also apparently responsible for Fiend-Bliss, which seems to be roundly despised by fans. Kevin also hates women's wrestling (reportedly) and is responsible for things like bringing back or keeping the girls that can't even wrestle because he thinks they're hot.

Kevin sucks.

100% agree.
Plus, bringing in guys like Goldberg.. again... really just proves that the brass have no faith in their own talent. Which is probably why they also seem to have no problem letting them all run off to AEW.

Everything here is true. WWE has been an absolute mess for a long time. I watch recaps because I'd much rather watch a bald idiot talk about RAW for 17 minutes than actually try to sit through a 3 hour stinker every week.

WWE needs writers that understand wrestling. It needs Kevin Dunn gone. It needs Johnny Ace gone. It needs Vince to take a backseat and admit that he doesn't know what people want anymore. Without all of those things.. WWE will continue to circle the toilet and continue to get outclassed by AEW.

AEW is what everyone used to say about NXT: A wrestling show by and for people that actually like professional wrestling and thinks it's fun to watch. NXT has gotten hammered because it's always losing its best talent to 'call-ups' that go nowhere. But the endlessly reshuffling roster hurts storytelling and fan engagement. AEW is doing pretty much all the things NXT did right - but with a much stronger and more stable roster.
If CM Punk and Bryan Danielson both go to AEW? Holy shit. AEW is going to need another show because they'll just have too much goddamn talent.
