They put some power behind that casting. Name after name after name of really great actors.

I have very high hopes for this. When was there ever a cartoon series with hour-long episodes?

I am stoked. I have the entire run in hardcover, and I can't see how this can go wrong.
Also, apparently there is a totally separate Live Action Movie in the works?

No way does that have the potential to be as faithful, but I always like seeing how comic characters are adapted and more literally brought to life.

A ) We get the first 3 episodes all at once this Friday.
B ) That means we only get the show for 6weeks instead of 8

I gave up on the comic fairly early, but I might give this a shot.

I also didn't make it past the first few trades.
I didn't think it was bad, but it just didn't really do much for me. The 'toon will probably benefit (in my case) from there not being a lot else to watch at the moment.

First 3 episodes are ok, but like the comic, didn't blow me away.

To me this series feels like the creators mashed up the great animated shows like spiderman , Justice League and rick and Morty at times. But be warned for those that don't know its not for kids. LOL

Never read the comics so don't know the property, but watched the first 3 episodes yesterday and really enjoyed them.

Knowing nothing about the property, I've already got a powers theory. Only Omni-Man or Invincible can be full power on the same planet. The government goon said he never saw O.M. struggle so hard against a Kaiju, yet he decimated the alien planet. Probably way off base, but maybe that's why he went all evil on the "Justice League". He knew his powers would be lessening. Too early to know why that'd make him worry. Early spit-balling thoughts that's likely getting laughed at by those in the know.

The wife and I have watched the first two episodes so far and we really like it. I'm.. sort've.. a fan of the comic. I've read some but not recently and I can't pretend to really know the lore. My wife didn't even know the comic existed prior to me being like 'hey, they made Invincible into a cartoon.'

Looking forward to sitting down for the next episode, probably tomorrow. When do the rest of the episodes drop?

IIRC it’s a weekly episode drop.

They've sorted some plot elements around but it's very much the comic in animated form, imho.

And yeah, you're all wrong with your theory, TFitz. Hopefully you'll enjoy what's really going on. I'm kinda surprised they haven't already dropped the Big Reveal by Ep3 but it has to be coming soon.

I think I love the choice of Seth Rogan for Allen the Alien. Jon Hamm seems wasted on just a White House guard, but since he's not a comic-character they may be building that storyline up into something important.

Now bring on BATTLE BEAST and SpaceRacer!

Nice. Thanks!

If I remember the comics correctly:
Spoiler! :
Omni is a sleeper agent for his race and killed the Guardians to facilitate an easier conquest, the attempt of which started RIGHT after. He redeems himself later as far as I remember, but he's basically a bad guy in the early parts of the story.
