Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home - MCU Movie
I wouldn't mind if the suit started changing visually when Peter gets more and more under it's influence (they've done it well in the Spectacular SM cartoon). From a normal cloth/unstable molecules looking thing into more of a living organism, that could be fun. But he should wear the more or less classic design for most of it.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home - MCU Movie
I've seen a few renders done by fans for what the symbiote costume could look like in the PS4 game that I would be happy with. I get that it makes sense for it to match the movie Venom design when the Tom Holland spider-man goes in that direction, and while that isn't my first choice, I also wasn't a fan of the SM3 version that (to my eye) was just a black and silver version of his regular suit. I always liked the suit in the comics being completely different from his regular suit.

I like the original Byrne 'negative space' look, where he's an 'absence' from the universe with the white deco on top - which shouldn't have any shading or gradation, just solid white from all angles.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home - MCU Movie
Late to the party, waited to see this in theaters due to covid + plans to see older relatives during the holidays. A month after opening + snow in Atlanta meant my friend and I had the theater all to ourselves - perfect.
This movie was amazing. Extremely impressed they pulled off what they did, from the complicated plot to the ensemble cast. Inverting the classic motivating line, not just who said it but when - rather than inaction and selfishness, it was an affirmative choice, trying to do the right thing that lead to tragedy.
The Spiders were amazing. Ned and MJ, JJJ, the whole supporting cast. And they end up setting up the most classic Peter Parker at the end.
I love how this resolved, and I want that to give space for new stories and characters. But I would love to see Pete make his way back to Ned and MJ (eventually). Their dynamic is incredible, and if there is an organic and appropriate way for them to be reunited - even several films from now - I would love to see it.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home - MCU Movie
I have been wondering if the story of first Peter's best friend trying to kill him, which rattled Ned, might be foreshadowing. We have no idea what Ned might think of Spidey now or in the future, so maybe he could end up with a reason to hate Spidey?
And Peter has to get back to MJ at some point. It is like the new Cap and Peggy story - I want to see the happy ending. Of course, I also felt they did the final scene as MJ was a little intrigued by Peter, so the potential is there that it could work out even if she never remembers the past (and if they never made another film).
Second Peter saving MJ was the highlight for me.

Also, Garfield really is Amazing. My wife and I just watched Tick Tick Boom, and this guy really is such a good actor. The Amazing movies really gave him so little to work with.
Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home - MCU Movie
Cute, but it was pretty clear to be an allusion to the adjective in Garfield's branch of the franchise. Spectacular and Sensational would have only made sense to comic fans.

Now it's shot up to 1.74 Billion. Number 1 this weekend again. 11m.
What a run.
It's inching closer to Avatar's domestic run. Might get there.
