Worth noting that the box art uses the Ed McGuiness art of the most recent incarnation of the team. That may be the one Hasbro plans on filling out since it’s got a much smaller and more manageable roster of 5.

Close enough to be classic as well. Though I'd prefer a NightHawk more in this range.

This is the Squadron’s Nighthawk. I’d like to see him in a pack with Power Princess, or since they have Skrull heads already made, Skymax.

The set is growing on me the more I look at Shootings’ pics. Hyperion is a definite upgrade.

What'd you like about it? I never respected this team in the comics since they're character-for-character rip-offs of Justice League. That doesn't mean the stories weren't memorable though, and I don't know ANY of them so I'd love to hear what people like about the team.

Hercules came with grip hands for his weapons. Looks like they gave them to Hyperion since they were already tooled.

I never cared for them either in the very few books I'd read where they made an appearance. I just bought the book because I wanted to see some more of Mark Gruenwald's work as I've been enjoying (re)reading his Captain America run recently, and SS is considered by many to be the highlight of his career. In addition to the story (which was allegorically similar to Watchman--and actually preceded it by several months--where the heroes take, or are given too much power, and what that can mean for the little guy) and art in a classic style that I miss; I really grew to like the expanded version of the team and new villains as well as getting better characterization for the core members. Sometimes it's a bit obvious where a certain aspect is going, but MG writes it so well it stays interesting. Unlike the 616 Universe there are major consequences we get to see paid off with devastating results. Several great character arcs where you start to either hate or feel for various characters. A lot of twists & turns as well.

They are overt satires of JL. Not rip offs. Hawkeye is a rip off of Green Arrow. Aquaman is a rip off of Namor. Rusty Venture is a satire of Johnny Quest.

They used to get mind controlled. A lot! I remember the Busiek/Perez run Hawkeye quips something like "5 will get you 10, they're mind-controlled." They were.

I like that we’re getting one new character in the line. Regarding more Squadron Supreme figures, I think only Power Princess has a real shot of happening. I don’t see Nighthawk getting another figure any time soon. Adding Power Princess to this 2pk and pairing them with Nighthawk and Speed Demon gives you a small little team. Don’t want to be a downer but unless this 2pk is a huge seller, I don’t see too many more Squadron members happening.

A MCU Squadron Supreme movie happens. It could be a cool project in that most of the team and their planet is destroyed at the end, with maybe only Hyperion and a couple others surviving and arriving in the MCU reality. Setting up the surviving Squadron members as new villains for the MCU. And then we get more Squadron figures.

Yeah more Squadron members would be cool but with the 2-pack at least you sort of have the original members of Squadron Sinister (granted, Whizzer and Nightwing in diff costumes). I would like to see Whizzer in yellow costume. Power Princess would be my choice for 5th member, feels like really that would be enough.
