Are people really using this spot as a place holder? Because its kinda ridiculous looking to put with anything but these movie characters

Jessica's arms look loooong.
Cyborg Spidey looks ridiculous, but in a great way.

Hasbro owes us a real deal comic version now.
Re: Across the Spider-Verse Wave
I don't think I can bring myself to use him as a place holder, way too stylized for my liking.spideyboy1111 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 1:43 amAre people really using this spot as a place holder? Because its kinda ridiculous looking to put with anything but these movie characters

Re: Across the Spider-Verse Wave
I'm curious where the rumors of this originally being a BAF came from, because ever since this lineup leaked with Rektangular's video, it was always indicating that this was a separate deluxe, and I remember a rumor of retro cards around that time that didn't make sense until the first pics leaked.
Over on Reddit they're saying they've seen a price tag at Target for this during an old planogram reset and the price is $59.99. I would think that disqualifies this as a former BAF, given the previous standalone BAF re-releases being in the ballpark of $30-40.

Re: Across the Spider-Verse Wave
logically you'd think so, but it's 2023 hasbro and a retool of a standard release colossus figure into a "deluxe" ronin is like $40 now so nothing actually makes any senseCollector4612 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 4:35 amI'm curious where the rumors of this originally being a BAF came from, because ever since this lineup leaked with Rektangular's video, it was always indicating that this was a separate deluxe, and I remember a rumor of retro cards around that time that didn't make sense until the first pics leaked.

Re: Across the Spider-Verse Wave
The Spot for me isn't a stand in for anything comic. He is going with my other Spiderverse 1st movie figures.
Like I said, the new Spider-Men and Jessica Drew I may get if prices drop. Not getting Gwen or Peter B and prob not even Miles. Happy enough with blue jacket Miles

i can't either... the figure is pretty hideous to be in anything but a spider-verse movie display100ptsofarticulation wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 2:38 amI don't think I can bring myself to use him as a place holder, way too stylized for my liking.spideyboy1111 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 1:43 amAre people really using this spot as a place holder? Re: Across the Spider-Verse Wave
I can't give out my sources, if i want to keep getting news (but I've trust them for years and they've got a great track record) So believe what you want. All of what you said could still be true, but that just means the decision to not make it the baf came prior to rek's leak.Collector4612 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 4:35 amI'm curious where the rumors of this originally being a BAF came from, because ever since this lineup leaked with Rektangular's video, it was always indicating that this was a separate deluxe, and I remember a rumor of retro cards around that time that didn't make sense until the first pics leaked.

MOST BAF waves have figures I simply do not want. "Need" is never a factor.
Often times, I find it easier to simply purchase a BAF complete from the ebay.
Yes, the Cyborg-woman figure does look great!
I struggle to find the "woman" in the Cyborg-"woman" figure, but if that what they want to be identified as, so be it. That cyborg would definitely beat my $$@ were it real. In any case, I plan to purchase it. Who am I to judge a fictional character that is going to look wonderful on my Spider-pronouns shelf?!
Re: Across the Spider-Verse Wave
Honestly, I am fine with this route.spideyboy1111 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 10:38 pmSo for all the anit-baf people out there... this is what apparently happened from what i'm hearing
This wave was originally a baf wave... but the baf got moved to being a deluxe figure and the parts were all taken away to make it a non baf wave.
You're not getting more accessories, not getting any baf parts, and paying the same price... while now also having to pay $30+ for what would of been the "free" build a figure.
I wouldn't be too surprised if the same thing happens with the No Way Home wave.. and the goblin glider and goblin gets bumped to being a deluxe with no baf either.
It might be great still for the cherry pickers, but really sucks for those who want most of the wave AND the deluxe.
That being said, spider-woman and cyborg spider-woman look great

Also since they appear to be showing up now, can we assume the actual street date still is April?
Re: Across the Spider-Verse Wave
$59.99 for Cyborg is waaaay to much, if that's the actual price, no way I'm picking it up, the rest of the figures however I must, they look fantastic.Collector4612 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 4:35 am

Look great!! Although I'd say Miles has the same problem that Peter had a few years ago... a very tall neck. Also there seems to be some weird ring sculpted around his neck, what is that all about?

Re: Across the Spider-Verse Wave
Maybe it's the line of his mask when it's pulled over? How sturdy do his very spindly limbs feel?
The body looks dynamic and that's a great face sculpt, though his eyes look really puffy for a teen. Any trouble with standing?
