Looks great!
Wonder how soon he’ll hit critical mass with release. My BBTS preorder wasn’t one of the ones fulfilled when they got in their initial shipment:

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Blob
Weird that BBTS tends to get stuff later than other fan channels but they've gotten some figures earlier than everyone else like Blob, Classified Series Crimson Guard, Rogue/Pyro two pack, HoX/PoX Magneto, etc.

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Blob
Even weirder, BBTS is giving me a Hasbro figure from their first shipment. I sold the BAF and extra pieces about 2 years ago.

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Blob
Maybe now that Dorkside is out of business, BBTS is getting early dibs on shipments. It used to basically go EE would get it first, then DS, then maybe BBTS, and then general retail and/or Amazon.blackcomicnerd wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 7:51 amWeird that BBTS tends to get stuff later than other fan channels but they've gotten some figures earlier than everyone else like Blob, Classified Series Crimson Guard, Rogue/Pyro two pack, HoX/PoX Magneto, etc.

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Blob
If there's anything we can count on at this point, is that it's completely unpredictable as to who gets shipments first. It might even rotate from retailer to retailer, but there's never been an official order to it. It's a total crapshoot.

OT, but Rektangular posted thinking out loud, wondering if Blob could be a base to finally do a Volstaag. I could see it; new pec/shoulder section, skirt to hide Blob’s belt.

That would be fantastic, and I could see it working.september_death wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 5:40 pmOT, but Rektangular posted thinking out loud, wondering if Blob could be a base to finally do a Volstaag. I could see it; new pec/shoulder section, skirt to hide Blob’s belt.

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Blob
I love reading initial impressions of a person who is first to have a figure in hand. The dude who took the first in-hand photo on the last page said that he was disappointed the figure was hollow (as was MODOK and Mojo's gut) and he felt that it would crack if it fell off a shelf. For that reason he felt that people who have the original Toy Biz (he meant Hasbro) Blob should just stuck with that. That's certainly a take. Ignores the fact that this one is a vast improvement aesthetically and has articulation that is more in-line with Legends. As one of the current collectors who has that original Blob, I can't wait to replace it with this one. I might even get 2 to display both heads, it's such an improvement.

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Blob
I was curious about that, one of Hasbro's selling points about this Blob was that it is solid. I assumed that meant the main body.

The Monster Venom, Strong Guy, Ursa Major, and Sugar Man BAFs are also hollow-torso figures (all of their torsos came in two pieces that need to be clipped together). I don't particularly understand why some people feel a figure needs to be a solid brick in order for it to be of high quality. Does the figure function? Does it hold together? Is it not brittle? If all of the answers are "yes," that's good for me.

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Blob
I sold my Blob BAF months ago when the deluxe packaging pic leaked (along with Ronan), and I am glad I did; this new one is a huge improvement!
Sadly I didn’t preorder at BBTS, stuck with Pulse so the wait continues..
