At least they send out that email letting us know the item is getting ready to ship. That at least gives a few days notice to those who would want to revise the order. I don't know if that's the best they can do, but I don't know what circumstances they're under as to when they expect to receive products from the manufacturers.

Re: Iron Man Retro Wave
I really feel like these dribs and drabs releases on the retro Iron Man card are a tease and I wish they would just go ahead and commit to at least one full retro series of Iron Man figures. Tons of great options with some nods to the Toy Biz line (Legacy? Mandarin) but also could do some characters the 5" line didn't get to... Open that spigot already Hasbro.

So iron man might be a hot commodity now, but those retro iron man cards might be stirring up some old feelings off that bygone era when shelves were littered with those figs in the 90’s.

Re: Iron Man Retro Wave
Yeah. I mean it’s sad too because the original Iron man toy line fell pretty flat after only four initial waves. Same with Ghost Rider FF. It just didn’t have the momentum or budgets to keep them going. That why Marvel started selling a a lot of those Marvel Superheroes multipacks and box sets as store exclusives to regional outlets like K-Marts, FAO Schwartz, KB Toyworks Sam’s Club, BJ’s and even bled them off to retail liquidators in Canada by late 1996 early 97. It’s because there was just so much overstock left they had to get rid of them somehow. It’s why we got the overpower line and the Hall of fame line and any other inconceivable mishmash of figure wave line ups you could think of. It was all in service to shedding off the FF, Iron man and ghost rider stuffPantherCult wrote:I really feel like these dribs and drabs releases on the retro Iron Man card are a tease and I wish they would just go ahead and commit to at least one full retro series of Iron Man figures. Re: Iron Man Retro Wave
Yes exactly! So many great possibilities for an Iron Man line! So many armors to make and so many opponents and allies. Hasbro could easily make an ongoing line for Iron Man.PantherCult wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 8:17 pmI really feel like these dribs and drabs releases on the retro Iron Man card are a tease and I wish they would just go ahead and commit to at least one full retro series of Iron Man figures. Re: Iron Man Retro Wave
I keep forgetting that modular War Machine ISN'T a retro card release. It's just a regular plastic free package. Mine arrived today, and it's a handsome, glossy figure. The silver is much less blue than I had anticipated. Comes with the same energy effects as the retro carded Modular Iron Man, but in red. I wish he came with some additional weapons, but like I had planned, I'll be giving him the massive cannon from the exclusive. But I'll look through my bin of stuff to see if there's some old Iron Man movie figure armor and gadgets I can give him.

Re: Iron Man Retro Wave
War Machine should look great with the cannon. I’ve seen a few custom weapons packs and rockets for War Machine on Instagram.
I hope I get my Pulse order for War Machine soon.

I know it's just a repaint, but man, this MvC War Machine has set the bar high for 2023. He's a damned nice figure, and if you're on the fence over him? Do yourself a favor and get one before he's gone!

Are you saying as compared to the original deluxe release, or just on his own? The deluxe War Machine was already a figure of the year candidate in 2020, so this one started from a really strong place.

I think he's talking about the repainted modular armor War Machine that is a Fan Channel exclusive, not the repainted deluxe WM on retro card.

When I first got Disney Plus I did the same thing. I was actively collecting comics with iron man being my main book at the time this came out and I was obsessed with finding out more about Dark Aegis. It wasn't until years later online I found out he was made for the show. I do remember finding on Raving Toy Maniac that his figure was in the cancelled wave that was repurposed as other figures in the Spidey and Xmen lines. I would like if they gave us that entire wave on retro cards. That's exactly the kind of thing I think the retro line would be great for, giving us something we never really got in the original line, a new character in Dark Aegis, a fan demanded character in Living Laser and some cool armor variants that I am sure they could execute well with minimal new sculpting and creative reuse. I love characters like Dark Aegis and the Iron man comic was full of characters like that (Samurai Steel, Atom Smasher) that were in one or two issues with cool designs then gone.

Need:
Mandarin
90s Crimson Dynamo
Titanium Man
Century
Blacklash
Blizzard 1
Hypnotia
Dark Aegis!
The Distant Boundaries episode featuring Titanium Man and Dark Aegis remains a favorite of mine. I was so disappointed when that last wave of 90’s Iron Man figures was canceled because I was so looking forward to the planned Dark Aegis figure.

Mine hasn't come in yet, it's on the way though. I see some people saying they're going to give him the retro cannon, does he come with trigger hands?
