It's true. I get it but yeah. I always had it on my budget to be ready for a wave two or three months before a movie release.

My guess is the wave will come out in July as intended in this case. Technically they could end up delaying it until What If S2, but I have a feeling it will be on time

Or (I know, I really doubt it too, but) maybe they could sub out someone else from another wave that's ready to go and another BAF.

Given the delays in Disney+ streaming, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see this wave this year.

On a related note, I wonder if there are financial implications from Marvel to Hasbro with all the manufactured waves that have to be warehoused for long periods of time because Marvel changed its release schedule (like for Eternals) or when they have to rush production for the same reason (like for Ant Man 3).

Everything with movie tie-in waves worked like clock-work from like 2014 to early 2020 with MCU waves starting to ship approximately two months before a movie’s release but since then, it’s been all over the place.

I'm hearing that The Marvels wave is already on US soil and in warehouses due to the film delay. So that wave theoretically should be like the Shang-Chi wave where when it goes up, it's not for pre-orders, but shipping right away.

If this wave is delayed, it will likely do the same. It's too late to swap out the BAF and 2 what-if figures, the box art is all done, and the figures clearly have already been packaged.

If the wave is delayed until What If S2 is out, obviously I would be disappointed as this is for MCU content my most anticipated wave. Even more so than the Spider-Man NWH one solely cause while I am stoked for those villains, lots of reuse and double dips in thay wave that temper that for me enough to make this wave my number 1. But these will be instant buys for me whether they come

So secret invasion is apparently going to premiere in June according to a disney+ listing. Hopefully this means we’ll see official pics of the figures.

I just really hope the eave isn’t delayed.

Disney/Marvel seem to be shaking things up quite a bit. With all the D+ stuff getting delayed I think it's going to be for the better in the long run and hopefully it'll be the end of all the delays. The pandemic caused a lot of the delays but at some point it seems like it shifted to studios causing the delays. Like delays had just become the new norm post pandemic so studios started using that to their advantage. Luckily even that seems to be wearing down. But now Bob Iger stepped back in and looks to be cleaning house at Disney and hopefully setting things back on a more stable track for Marvel. Once that's done I'm really hoping we don't see all these delays going forward and I'm sure Hasbro is too. The MCU clearly had too much on its plate for audiences to swallow I think quality over quantity is the MCU's new focus and I'm cool with that. A more consistent release schedule and fewer projects per year aught to give Hasbro more room to give us those villians, side characters, past characters, 2 packs etc. that we've not been seeing as much lately.

Or maybe Secret Invasion was always premiering June 21st and they just never made it public (after its initial 2022 postponement). A summer run would have led into The Marvels original date pretty much exactly IF they are indeed connected (no spoilers, I don't wanna know).

That date fits right in line with the toys coming out in July.

Agatha! Yelena! I'll get Kingpin eventually, but I'm actually excited for a new Nick - for my Spidey shelf! And Gamora looks great. Wish I cared more about the costume, BUT she looks like a fun toy.

I wonder if gamora getting a figure released so close to vol 3 limits her chances of getting a figure for the film.

Fury might be up there depending on the look they’re going with i want something closer to his appearances in phase 1.

So excited for Kingpin and Agatha as well... it has been too long. I was thinking today how many many years ago when S1 Daredevil came out that I had someone commission a custom Kingpin using a Wrestling mold. SO close to finally getting an official!

Although I am not the biggest What-if figure fan, the Gamora does look amazing and I hope we can headswap with an MCU Gamora sculpt

Looks like this show will be very different than the comics. There was a spy side of the Secret Invasion story in the comics, but the main story was all about the superheroes. And tons of Super Skrulls with combined powers.
