Well....
They sold exactly as many units as they wanted at sale price to hit another metric on units sold. So then they were "out of stock" on sale priced units. That's how Amazon do.

You're right in assuming it's not by accident, but it's less malicious policy than just tight pricing/inventory integration.

It'll get discounted again. I mean, I paid full price. For Warthog and Human Fly. So....

i just opened my set from the sale. silvermane was missing a hand. his left fist that should have been on the figure. spider-man's left shoulder was not lined up correctly when assembled so there was a gap you could stick a knife blade in. the butt of the spider on his lower torso didn't line up with the upper torso. like 1/16 off towards his right side...front and back.
the set is still in stock so an exchange was no biggie but three problems in one box.... now i'm thinking i better check everything i've ordered recently that is in the windowless packaging.

Is Silvermane supposed to come with any extra hands or his mini-car from the Beetle figure? Mine doesn't have anything and so sure not if that's correct or not.

He should have two gripping hands and two guns. Make sure you unfold all the cardboard as little bags of accessories are easily lost with the new packaging.

Cool thanks yep it was hiding in one of the folds! Very weird they didn't bother to include the mini-car, but I guess they figured the body is the trade-up!

I really hope another one of these Spidey 5-packs is in the cards. There are plenty more villains of his that could be made from easy repaints with very few new parts. Something like the following should be easy enough...

1. Will o' the Wisp (Spider-UK base body, new head)
2. Mirage (Sunfire base body, new head and torso harness overlay)
3. Robot Master/Mendel Stromm (Pretty Boy base body, new head)
4. Looter (Vulcan base body, new head)
5. Fear Itself Spider-Man (RYV Spider-Man with new wrist overlays)

Well, I think I speak for many here in the Fwoosh, when I say I am shocked. Truly shocked that someone would take advantage of the windowless packaging to scam a retailer, and screw a fellow collector. This is unheard of!
