I think the only thing I don't like about Kang is how he comes with one fist and one gripping hand rather than just two fists?
I don't understand the logic of giving gripping hands to a character that comes with no accessory to actually hold.

I totally agree. Maaaaaaaaybe we will get new versions of the big names, especially ones that aren't likely to get new appearances in upcoming projects. Go back to the well for Iron Man 45 or the FA Cap etc. But I'm ready to cross the likes of Kurse off my list.

Go too far down the logic hole and you'll start questioning why Hasbro packed four 1:12 figures with four 1,000,000,000,000,000:1 ones.

Re: Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wave (2023)
We are getting a Best Of wave this year, and I hope those become an annual thing. But they will really only help if they occasionally throw in new characters. Not just repaints or easy things like a Mk 2 Iron Man. So far it seems like it will just be repaintsfac wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 11:11 pmMy guess is Disney wants the MCU stuff to be looking forward for the most part. I suspect in a few years we will get a "Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars" revisited series to fill in some gaps, like the 10th Marvel Studios wave, but they need to build up some backlog from Phase 4 to 6 first.
Unfortunately, I'd guess Phase 1 to 3 is likely mostly in the rearview mirror in terms of Hasbro's plans.

This is why I am hoping cheap options on those fronts become available if Hasbro is done with that era. Like a 3rd party starts doing them. Ideally someone cheaper than Hot Toys or even Figuarts. Though I would buy Figuarts versions of Whiplash and such if they made themRu_1977 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 11:44 pmI totally agree. I did get a Zd Toys War Machine mk 1 and he fits in pretty well, depending on who I pose him with. But he is now my only war machine, and I would pounce on a Zd Toys whiplash, Kurse, Destroyer, etc. But they may be the best option for that idea.e-rock wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 11:59 pmThis is why I am hoping cheap options on those fronts become available if Hasbro is done with that era. I have been debating on getting their Endgame Hulk and maybe Mk 5 Iron Man. But I don't know how that would scale with other Iron Men. Hulk I think looked good on reviews I saw. But yeah, basically hoping ZD Toys starts making some of these non made charactersRu_1977 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 12:03 amI did get a Zd Toys War Machine mk 1 and he fits in pretty well, depending on who I pose him with. Re: Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wave (2023)
I used to own that Hulk and he was pretty good. Not as posable as others, especially his neck joint, but definitely worked. I preferred that to the Select figure.
Iron Man... Maybe. It would work better, if you're doing like a hall of armor thing, if you had all Zd Toys together. I had the mark 3 and I think he was barely taller than the legends saga mark 3. So it isn't horribly noticable from what I recall. Some of them can be pretty cheap on AliExpress and such.
If they got on some of those larger villains, I would be over the moon though.

I haven't forgotten the last time there were Marvel Legends of MCU Ant-Man and Wasp, both pegwarmed for a very long time, especially Wasp.
Online retailers still have tons of Luis and Ghost.

True, I would love for them to do Kurse or the Destroyer!Ru_1977 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 12:28 amI used to own that Hulk and he was pretty good. Not as posable as others, especially his neck joint, but definitely worked. I preferred that to the Select figure.

I know we've all brought up a million times but a running MCU line would fix so many issues. Give us past characters, allow the team better control over spoiler characters and film delays as well do remakes (legacy) figures. I'm honestly curious what the argument against this idea could even be.

Re: Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wave (2023)
I'm assuming it's because if they separated the lines it'd make it a lot harder to get comic book figures out at retail. I guarantee MCU Wasp will move more units than Rock Python. TBH I don't even know who the comic figures in this wave are, and I've been reading Marvel comics for 20 years.

Re: Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wave (2023)
I think honestly it is cause Hasbro runs the line on the cheap. MCU figures have less reuse potential comic figures do, so they would rather keep costs down by making small alterations to the same figure 1000 times than give us movie fans something we would prefer.

It's been a long day at work so maybe my logic argument isn't up to snuff heh.
Re: Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wave (2023)
And maybe so, but why... And please don't take this as anti-comic sentiment at all, just want to reason it out. But if there isn't a market for those items, if the way to get people to buy them is to trojan horse it with baf parts... Why not just offer the stuff that sells well? I'm not saying comic figures sell poorly, I have no sales figures and no clue as to ratios of what big stores stock in comic versus MCU etc etc. But if the comic line can't stand on its own, as I'm taking your speculation to mean, why not just do the seemingly more popular stuff?CTVampSlayer wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 1:29 amI'm assuming it's because if they separated the lines it'd make it a lot harder to get comic book figures out at retail.
