The rumor is that there might be another Ultron in this wave, right? I wonder what that could be. Top choices for me include

Ultron-Pym
Ultron from Ultron Unlimited, which Hasbro could make by giving the classic Ultron a new head sculpt.

Both of those options would be really cool.

It's probably a gold repaint of 2021 Ultron.

He's a budget friendly figure.

Will Egghead be the pinhead scientist or the Young Masters robot?

I am hoping it ends up being like April. I would be fine with these and the GOTG3 figures hitting at same time. I just don't want to buy 3 whole waves in July

Have we ever had an MCU tie-in wave come out after the movie before? This feels like the first time.

Only thing I can think of is when they split the IM3 and TWS waves into 2 shipments, where the comic figures came before the movie and the movie ones after. Glad they never did that again

I don't know that I ever knew that. TWS was when I jumped on board with Legends. I was ready to get on with the Avengers wave but without Black Widow, I didn't bother. Once they did a figure of her (and I got two at the time), I went back and got that Walmart wave, the Mark 42, and Iron Patriot. I also found the Nick Fury figure, which is still my oldest legend I own.

Either way, I feel like we hit upon the explanation with this since Quantumania was scheduled to be released in July until last April and apparently Hasbro just couldn't change their course fast enough. Once again, with Marvel Studios STILL shifting release schedules around, Hasbro should think about just a general MCU line where they put out the obvious, title characters for the current movie or series in the wave scheduled for that time, and follow up with spoiler and supporting characters in later waves. The MCU is such a massive, fluid entity now.

I’ll continue to champion that they should release comic figures for movies, and the movie figures later. Hot Toys (and to a lesser extent) figurarts show there’s a willingness to wait for accuracy.

Idk…it goes to the whole conversation of if Legends has appeal outside of collectors. They should absolutely still put out the lower POA & Titan figures for movies on the current timeline. But I think the collector side needs to shift to minimize the “we only had concept art” argument.

My guess is the figures will be available to preorder on February 8 based on EE's word play in their Drop Zone.

I’m on the opposite end of this argument. I much rather have a figure at launch that has a minor inaccuracy than waiting until who knows when to get an accurate figure. It never made any sense to me that they released full waves for movie lines that were all comic figures first like they did for Winter Soldier or AOU. People are talking about the movie now, they want their figures to go along with it

I get that perspective but I'm one who can wait. I still wanted Quicksilver when they finally got him out. Destroyer and Kurse are still on my wishlist. Whatever happens with comic figures, I'd be happiest if they're made separate. If that means they get released first, so be it. And I'm okay with minor inaccuracies too. Sometimes I even prefer the concept version to what was on screen (like Proxima Midnight).

That's pretty interesting, thank you for posting it. Hopefully it's not just less-articulated, smaller figures.
