MODOK retailed for about $60-$65

His MSRP was $52.99, and that's what Pulse has had him for from release through today. Is he really more complex a design than MODOK? Maybe, I can't tell.

oh he's much more complex... MODOK has barely any articulation. This guy has multiple spiderlegs, arms, and a bendy scorpion tail.

Mojo also has zero re-use, there's no quirky version like modok got with his elvis

I hope Mojo has a clear stand with a ball joint for pivoting the figure on it, and the legs can be articulated however you want without being load-bearing.

the render makes it look like he has something similar to what toybiz did with clear plastic nodules. but these look longer so it can appear like the legs support him

He's got little clear standing pegs on the bottom. I think he has three, but all I can see is one and part of another in the digital render below. Their presence on the figure pretty much locks in that he can't stand on his legs.

The Instagram Live feed was crappy in that the figures were VERY far from the camera, and I couldn't see those pegs at all in the stream.

OK now I'm seeing an order limit in the code...guess they just didn't enter it at first. They set a limit of 11,250 and have sold 6,299.

Interesting, then maybe these figures are currently in production or have already been produced?

This is a really cool set, and I'm a big Longshot and Dazzler fan, but I just don't know if I can justify the price to myself. I was kind of hoping Dorkside or someone would be selling them on their own. Probably people on eBay will be (and Dazzler will probably be reasonable), but I'm expecting to pay quite a bit for Longshot.

I'm not going to complain about the price on this - though I think in general people should try and have a *shred* of empathy for those who are lamenting being priced out of a hobby they love.

I would however like to lodge a complaint against this new trend of counting unarticulated pack-ins as full figures - as evidenced by this "4-pack" and the Spider-Man Noir "2-pack." C'mon now Hasbro. Charge what you're going to charge for the figures, but we can all see through these lies!

When I was guessing the price on this yesterday I told myself I could not guess too high. I was right. I guessed $120.

Let's see:
Two "standard" figures---$55 (should be $50 of course if you hold them to the new price of $25 each, but we've learned that when they do two packs an extra $5 is magically tacked on)
One inanimate accessory figure---$10 ( a-la Spider Ham who jacked up the price of Spider Noir )
BAF style figure---Let's say a generous $60
and a box that doesn't look like other boxes ---$5 (let's-just-say- it-costs-us-extra-to-make-our-boxes-look-different fee)

There, it all adds up!

I think the “outback” team covers so many storylines that people forget how many different costumes there are. Especially the ladies. They often switched every new storyline. I stopped reading after Inferno so I’m in for pretty much every hero between giant sized and Inferno. But my fav era was Byrne to Paul Smith. I really like the John Romita Jr run too.

I'm guessing you meant through Paul Smith, yeah? I can't imagine anyone got to Paul Smith's (too short) run and said "Yeah, I'm stopping here.".

Yeah that’s what I meant. I loved Byrne’s work, it’s amazing. But Paul Smith is my favorite X artist ever. And you’re right, his run was way too short. I was so stoked when he came back to do X-Men & Alpha Flight.

I feel bad for people who are being priced out this hobby, but I won't shed a tear for those who threaten to leave or wish harm on the Marvel team. I'm hoping those toxic individuals leave the hobby, but I'm smart enough to know they won't.
