Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Mojo Set
I bit the bullet and pre-ordered. Have to get Mojo, didn’t want to wait for Longshot and I don’t mind a jacket-less Dazzler. It definitely isn’t the Outback look I remember even though the Hasbro guys claim it is. She definitely had capri pants and bare abs. The slug X-baby Wolvie is ok if they plan on releasing all of the other X-babies. Otherwise, this would have been a good place for a slug figure of Gog N'MaGog in his “Pup” form. I would prefer that over a one-and-done X-baby.

Yikes. $150 for this set with taxes and shipping. I don't know if I can justify that when I only want Mojo and Longshot.

For context I estimate the average Legends figure release run to be 40,000 to 50,000 figures. So it's possible they're anticipating lower demand for this set, and if 11,250 is all they make then it could be highly sought after just due to low supply in a year or two.

EnigmaticClarity wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 7:02 pmOK now I'm seeing an order limit in the code...guess they just didn't enter it at first. They set a limit of 11,250 and have sold 6,299.

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Mojo Set
Also a sales update--at 2:02 EST when I first posted the sold count was 6,299, and at 2:29 EST it's now at 6,689 sold. That's about 400 units in half an hour; if it continued selling at this rate it would sell out this evening.
I don't expect sales to continue at that rate, but I will be surprised if it's not sold out at some point tomorrow.

Rogue had her new costume in UXM #229, Storm in UXM #230 (the lightning bolt, she would also later switch back & forth with a collared jacket look). Psylocke got her armor in UXM #232.

ackshewully -- the X-Men established an Outback base in UXM #229 & Dazzler didn't get the bare midriff & capri outfit until UXM #242 (midway through Inferno) & they left the Outback in UXM #252. So she did have this outfit (as well as varying degrees of short, shoulder-length & long hair) during the Outback era (notably during expelling the Reavers, the Brood return, Genosha, Evolutionary War & the Diamondback body switch)Jedighost009 wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 7:19 pmI bit the bullet and pre-ordered. Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Mojo Set
Yeah, that’s what I thought. This figure looks more like what she wore before the Outback adventures began. The bare midriff and capris look debuted during the Outback shenanigans. To me, I call that the Outback look.tetragene wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 7:33 pmackshewully -- the X-Men established an Outback base in UXM #229 & Dazzler didn't get the bare midriff & capri outfit until UXM #242 (midway through Inferno) & they left the Outback in UXM #252. Now that armored Psylocke and Rogue versions from that era would be most welcome to my collection!

I think the “outback” team covers so many storylines that people forget how many different costumes there are. Especially the ladies. They often switched every new storyline. I stopped reading after Inferno so I’m in for pretty much every hero between giant sized and Inferno. But my fav era was Byrne to Paul Smith. I really like the John Romita Jr run too.

Re: Marvel Legends Deluxe Mojo Set
the amount of crying over the price set of this is getting kinda funny on social media...
I actually expected this to be $150.
some people are like "mojo is a deluxe figure, they're like $30" lol
i think $130 is more than fair for this
MODOK retailed for about $60-$65 and MOJO is way more complex and detailed, so i think he's easily an $75-$80 figure. The toybiz BAF sells for that (or more) last i checked, and this one is also like twice the size.
and figures now are $25... so $25 + $25 + $80 = $130

Can we put out a PSA that "yes everything is significantly more expensive"? This has been going on for months, how is everyone not caught up?

His MSRP was $52.99, and that's what Pulse has had him for from release through today. Is he really more complex a design than MODOK? Maybe, I can't tell.

Dude, now you are seriously talking! That’s the good’s right there. And not to say I want artist specific sculpts but at least “obviously inspired”. The Wendigo BAF could have benefited from a Byrne inspired head sculpt. And I dig Romita Jr as well. Certain characters over others but still.Parintachin73 wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:15 pmI think the “outback” team covers so many storylines that people forget how many different costumes there are. Amazon has the new Retro War Machine for $25. That seems like a great price and it's new.RoyalCollector wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:17 pmCan we put out a PSA that "yes everything is significantly more expensive"? This has been going on for months, how is everyone not caught up?
