I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people just aren't reading before they jump to conclusions, but somehow...I am.
No, not another price hike by Hasbro.

Re: Re: What's next for ML in 2022-2023
So, is Iron Spider part of the 20th Anniv of Legends line and not the 60th Anniv of Spider-Man line?
Also, I hope that's not the only avenue for new reveals on the 20th Anniv Line. One, only a single reveal per month would be lame, and two, that means it would take the entire year to reveal the entire line. There are 12 figures on the latest rumor list (Cap, IM, Hulk, Toad, Firelord, Sentinel, Apocalypse, Beast, War Machine, Scorpion, CAP?, and Mr Negative) but does not include Iron Spider.

Also I dont think mr negative and some of those others are 60th figures. Again, may have stickers. But id wager negative will go on a retro card and still be considered part of spideys 60th
And id wager firelord will be f4 retro carded too

Its officially spideys 60th. But these could also very well have a legends 20th sticker on the package toosepster wrote:So, is Iron Spider part of the 20th Anniv of Legends line and not the 60th Anniv of Spider-Man line?

What did I miss? Genuinely want to know because the post lacked context and I'd be happy to be wrong.
Re: Re: What's next for ML in 2022-2023
I just saw the vague post from Dorkside listing $24.99 MSRP. Was that Dorkside saying the price of a specific figure or them saying they will be raising their prices to $24.99?EnigmaticClarity wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 7:19 pm

It wouldn’t make sense for Dorkside to say MSRP if they were raising prices on their own initiative…

I think perhaps you might have misinterpreted Dorkside's post (and e-rock's reply to it) as being about a DS price hike rather than a Hasbro price hike. (Of course, any manufacturer price increase is met by a matching retailer price increase, but that's beside the point.)
Re: Re: What's next for ML in 2022-2023
Is there some context from outside this thread that I'm missing here? Dorkside said “$25 [manufacturer's suggested retail price],” seemingly in response to the thread's title, as in “What's next for Marvel Legends in 2022? A $2 price hike.”EnigmaticClarity wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 7:19 pm

It say's new content to celebrate 20 years of Marvel Legends.
Could we potentially get some 20th Anniversary reveals? I guess anything is possible...but that is not specifically what the tweet is promoting.

Well, the tweet does not actually say that...

Because frankly, a lot of what Hasbro puts out in this line is not worth $25 in my opinion.
Re: What's next for ML in 2022-2023
Wasn't expecting people to take comments about the cost as a jab at Dorkside since I thought it would be understood that MSRP is Hasbro's price and thus Hasbro's doing. So to be clear, this was totally aimed at Hasbro, not Dorkside when I posted it this morning.

Seeing that juicy metallic red on Iron Spider makes me sad they decided to skip it on Guardian.

Figures like Doom, Kang, The Thing, movie Venom or Ultron are worth $25 to me. Your average "naked" buck with a new headsculpt on it? Nah.
At least Iron Spider has the waldoes and some new parts.
Legends was my main toyline for years, but my regular purchases are about done and I'm pretty pleased with what I have. Still love Marvel and will continue to check out the news and admire other people's collections, but I'm at the point where I'd rather spend my money on other lines.

Is $25 for Iron Spider not expected? Its an anniversary figure, they'll all be extra marked up, like always
