If they straight up use the Doc Ock body on Toad I think I’d be out.

I'd be shocked if Toad didn't get a new sculpt. Especially for whatever insane price they're charging.

I think reusing the ock body would be all sorts of wrong in so many ways that it'd be pretty ballsy of hasbro to reuse it for toad.

While I wouldn't be "out" it would be one of those slap in the face situations leading me to be a Lil tighter with my wallet.

Using the ock body mean a new upper torso would need to be made, the legs and arms are too thick for toad, they'd need to make new arms to scale with the body that already needs a new upper torso. It'd be a lot of trouble to not make a new body. It'd make no sense for them not to.

This is all with the thought of "if they want to do em right".

I’d honestly be all over an All Barons Walgreens year. Blood and Mordo alone would be amazing.

Wasn't that the theme this past year? My Walgreens were pretty "barren" all year.

Well, $32 at least, right?

In all honesty, I WOULDN'T be shocked if Toad was a Doc Oc repaint. I hate to say it, but Hasbro has been pulling some pretty cheap moves lately. I'm not betting on a repaint, but I wouldn't put it past them.

No matter what happens, whether I buy Hasbro Toad or not, I'm keeping my Toybiz Toad statue figure.

I meant out on the figure not the whole line. But it would be a pretty big blow to my enthusiasm. I don’t believe they are that clueless / craven. Never know though.

I figure the Toybiz statue looks pretty good next to the MS Magneto

Yep. $32 and we already know that Cap and Iron Man are re-use. Good chance that Hulk is, too.

To be fair, Iron Man has a new head and torso. So he has reused limbs, but does that count as a lot of reuse?

Hoping Hulk will be in his purple trunks like the comic in Series 1. Additional head would be nice too. Wonder how much he’s gonna end up costing though in this wave.. hmm

If Toad is all-new, is there any potential reuse for his body mold? I can see some comprises being made to him to make reuse more possible.

That is a real observation. Cap and Iron Man both got new sculpts, and I personally really don't think they needed them. A new Toad bod could be in the cards.

I'm only thinking that, since they re-used Ock for the *other* chubby character, Leapfrog from the Stilt-Man wave, it felt like a go-to.

Thinking deeper, though, they wouldn't be able to hide the tentacle holes with a backpack. Ock's upper torso, at least, would need some redesign.

Hasbro is definitely not clueless, not in the slightest, but I believe they are not above cutting corners if they think it will sell anyway. But on the other hand, they do have a lot of genuinely good stuff out there. So I'm not sure what we'll get with Toad. Time will tell.
