I'd likely pick up a Dakota figure, as long as it was done in one of the classic looks that would help to differentiate her from a generic civilian. Such as one of her ultra-'80s outfits as PantherCult suggested. The character definitely can come across as too ordinary-person looking, especially in some of the newer looks, or too Black Widow-y, but there are some options there.

Would happily buy Dakota North even though I've only read her a handful of times. Seems like they could get away with making a comic Jessica Jones and packing in a different jacket and head - I'd buy two!

As others have said I might get her if she looked super over-the-top 80s. This is the image I always picture of Dakota North, where she kinda looks like George Michael’s girlfriend in the “Father Figure” video or the lead singer from Swing Out Sister. She and 80s Dazzler can start a duo!

Yeah the issue #1 cover could just be Black Widow.... the rest of the looks are pretty "generic civilian lady" - there isn't really a ton that makes her stand out or pop as a hero so she would just look like a random bystander in my figure display. I have nothing against the character - she just wouldn't make a very dynamic or interesting action figure.

Now if they made her with that ridiculously 80's jacket with the mega-shoulders and those crazy boots shown in the Marvel Universe entry.... maybe

I have never heard of the character but as others have stated I have no issue with the character if they make her and saw her cheep somewhere but I wouldnt fall over myself for it.
