That is pretty drastic. I'm very much looking forward to retiring that figure.

I ordered a Jigsaw from them about a month and a half ago. They shipped it out quick, but it took 24 days to get delivered...Akatsuki wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 10:13 pmVery tempting!la6689 wrote:I ordered it on the 21st Shipped the 25th, Hit NY today. There’s something very dark days about the new Madame hydra’s face. Most likely the paint apps.

I dunno why but she reminds me a little of Seinfeld's "Two-face" girlfriend from the Festivus episode. But hey, that means she'll look good under the correct lighting, right? just have to do all the toy photography in the back corner booth of Monk's diner.Littlemidget312 wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 12:43 pmThere’s something very dark days about the new Madame hydra’s face. Re: 2022 Avengers Controller BAF Wave
This is one of the first waves where the new price point has stopped me from picking up some Legends figures that I would definitely have pre-ordered a couple of years ago.
For example Madam Hydra. The only thing that’s really vastly better about the new figure is the head-sculpt. The new body is just a marginal improvement (mostly in the hips), and to me is just not worth $25 to replace a figure that I think I originally paid $15 for new.
Speedball, Quake and U.S. Agent are other figures that I would probably would have grabbed at the $20 (or less) price point. But they just aren’t “must have” enough for me to shell out the extra cash right now.
At an additional $5 a pop it’s like getting 4 figures for the price of 5 a year ago.
Now I’m not saying that it’s Hasbro’s fault they had to raise prices, but it is what it is. And apparently (and unfortunately) it’s reached my breaking point for buying figures that I just “kind of” want.
Hopefully I’ll be able to catch these on sale somewhere at some point in the future. Like a nice BOGO Target sale for example.

Same. Except for Quake. I wanted a female Shield agent, so I bought two. But I ordered them off Target for a couple of dollars less. But I skipped the others. No more impulse buys.Ninjak wrote:This is one of the first waves where the new price point has stopped me from picking up some Legends figures that I would definitely have pre-ordered a couple of years ago.

Conversely this is the first wave since the price increase that I preordered with no hesitation. Fantastic character selection for the entire wave.
If $25 is too much, Target has them listed for $22.99.

Re: 2022 Avengers Controller BAF Wave
That's me as well. I'm definitely getting Speedball, as he is a personal favorite, but if these were 19.99, I'd be getting the whole wave. I have an affection for all of the characters in the wave, and I especially have a soft spot for Controller (I read The Death Of Captain Marvel so often as a kid that the pages started falling out and I had to get a new copy), but with everything else I have on pre-order well into next year, I just can't justify third-tier and lower characters unless they are an absolute must.
Hopefully this will be one of those waves that goes on clearance after it warms pegs for a bit, as I would love to catch them all, just not at 25 bucks a pop. At $8-$12 each, I'll buy the lot.

Re: 2022 Avengers Controller BAF Wave
I have a case on pre-order for this wave and I don’t really care about the price.
In my head I’m paying case price for Controller, 2 Iron Mans, and Quake.
If I think I figure is worth the money I’ll spend it. Price going up sucks but I’m also not gonna pretend like I haven’t paid more for less.

Re: 2022 Avengers Controller BAF Wave
I tend to have strong FOMO purchasing habits, because I definitely don’t want to overpay for stuff once it’s out of circulation.
