With this being 12 figures, does that make this the premium line for the year?
Meaning, are MCU collectors only watching regular waves in 2022?
To be fair, the X-Men Premium line and Marvel 80th were a mix of comic and movie. So maybe if this is indeed our premium line, we will get maybe a couple movie based offerings?
Wesley Snipes Blade and Affleck Daredevil fit the theme!

The Spider-Man Classics wave came out before ML wave 1, so I think (hope) they might be revisited too.

That wave had a classic red and blue Spidey, battle-damaged Spidey, the mid-transformation Venom, that still awesome Man-Spider, and KBToys (remember KB?) had exclusives of Spidey 2099 and Scarlet Spider.

Edit: also Symbiote Spidey. Maybe it was 2 waves.

I’d love a battle damaged Spidey, but I don’t know that I believe they’ll do it.

Captain America (80th Anniversary repaint)
Iron Man (80th Anniversary repaint)
Hulk (80th Anniversary repaint)
Toad (all-new version)

Who else? Characters from waves 2 and 3?
Where did 12 figures come from?

True. They could squeeze in a black leather Hugh Jackman and Raimi Spider-Man and likely get not-that-many complaints.

I honestly could care less about these figures. it sounds like its going to tread the same ground as the 80th anniversary figures and the earlier retro carded stuff and it feels like this is pretty nonessential. I'll skip these.

So would a Tom Jane Punisher. But ultimately, I aint sure the demand for Ben DD or Tom Punisher is there. Snipes Blade I could see

My guesses (what I'd want to see):

Captain America (80th Anniversary figure repainted in lighter blue)
Iron Man (80th Anniversary figure with horn head mask)
Toad
Namor (black pants and vest look)
Ghost Rider Dan Ketch
Elektra (new double jointed elbow body)
Beast (new head sculpt, trapeze accessory)
Hawkeye (classic, new head sculpt, Sky Cycle?)
Cyclops (70s Cockrum design)
Angel (red suit, feather wings)
Iron Fist (classic)
Power Man Luke Cage (classic)

PLEASE do not let Captain America be a Walmart exclusive. I'm still incredibly sore over missing out on the 80th one.

For this line I'd like for them to cover more of TB's run than just the first few waves, really pull from all over the line. My most wanted outside of the original four would probably be Baron Heinrich Zemo, Blackheart, classic Doctor Strange, first appearance Spider-Man, Danny Ketch Ghost Rider, Beta Ray Bill, and the Mandarin.

I also love the idea of giving Spider-Man Classics some love. Maybe the oft rumored Rhino would end up on a Spider-Man Classics cardback rather than a retro cardback? It'd also be a great place to put a new red Daredevil since he was also in that line. A redone McFarlane Spidey would sell a lot too, I'm sure.

It would be *super* cool if they included “ToyBiz retro” heads along with more conventional heads, at least in the case of Hulk and Toad.
My guesses for the 12:
1. Toad
2. Hulk
3. Cap
4. Iron Man
5. Ghost Rider (ketch)
6. Doctor Doom (full-classic/Ultron parts)
7. Magneto
8. Tiger-stripe Wolverine
9. Doc Ock (bendy tentacles)
10. Namor (70s)
11. Phoenix
12. Spider-man (first appearance)

Can’t believe I forgot about one of the three movie figures that made it into the original line!

Could be a good place for a 2-pack Dark Phoenix rerelease with brighter red + Phoenix effect base like the ToyBiz version had.

Yeah, one of the Spider-Man Classics figures was an actual McFarlane figure (the figure everyone ended up calling "McFarlane Spidey" wasn't based on his art, that always bugged me.) They could re-release the Retro Spider-Man with the Raft box set head and a darker shade of blue, extra hands and an unmasked head to make it more of a "deluxe" figure.

I think the main draw for me would be diorama bases. I doubt they'd do anything as elaborate as ToyBiz did, though.
