I'm not finding this Siryn reference that both face and Hasbro may have inexplicably used. If you have more luck let me know!

What is certain however, is that Face's custom came first, and is one of the first results when searching Marvel Legends Siryn.

Face has been around for a while, I don't believe I've ever heard of them working with Hasbro on sculpts - they're UK based I'm sure.

I know where I'm leaning, but let's hope they didn't just nab it and he is indeed being credited and they're collaborating behind the scenes.

Those pics just remind me of how much I absolutely hate that hair. I may have to buy a hair piece from somewhere to replace it if she doesn't come with a different head. Or I may just skip her altogether and wait for the rerelease in a better costume with hopefully a new head.

I really like that hair; it's very dynamic in a way that won't interfere with posing.
I wish that Hasbro would get more on board with swappable hair, though; it'd be nice to have dynamic and relaxed options for long hair.

Is Facecustoms’ using the Ultimate Spiderwoman hair with additional sculpting? I can’t peg it as anything else.

If they really did use that as reference for the official release (which would be hilarious), I’m grateful Hasbro didn’t use the custom’s Siouxsie Sioux eyeliner, yikes.

i mean the only real "copy" here is the hair.. the costume is pretty circumstantial.

If you type in "Marvel Siryn", you can find plenty of pictures of that exact costume out of the comics. Here's one, which includes the divots in the yellow part of her costume near her stomach.

Well, they are both based on the same art work so it's coincidence. Just because a (excellent) costumizer did it first doesn't mean hasbro could have the same idea.

I didn't think I would have to specify this, it is about the hairsculpt.

Face made that original hairsculpt on his Siryn custom, and now years later Hasbro seem to have basically reproduced it beat for beat on their official figure. Most of the strands are even in the same positions.

It is not about the costume, the costume is a known Siryn costume.

Their hair sculpt really doesn't go well with that quaalude face anyhow. Would have preferred something with some personality or looking closer to Capullo / Churchill.
