Really hoping not to have four rereleases, especially when Spider-Woman and GG were both heavily discounted. At least let’s get a rerelease that deserves an update (Madame Masque) or a new figure that’s minor tooling (Unicorn could be done with just a head). I’m think a classic Ghost could mostly be done with overlays. Depending on how the Wolverine boots fit other legs, Melter wouldn’t need that much either. Just a torso with those IM style shoulder pauldron a.canprime wrote:HEY KEEP IT DOWN!!!!!![]()
I really want this version of Crimson Dynamo (mk 4?). However I don't know that we would see him in the Retro line because he was never in this armour in the original line. Same with Titanium Man. Personally I would be fine with them ignoring that aspect of the theme, but I don't see it happening.
As for possible characters, I think we shouldn't get our hopes up too high on a lot of new characters/molding. The FF line was 4 reissues and 2 new characters. Granted that allowed for a lot of budget to go towards the new characters, and the remolded pieces on the reissues (though they should have burned that Sue head before ever releasing it).
So far we have a War Machine with new paint (and hands?) but less accessories than the original deluxe release. Modular Iron Man in cartoon colours is a pretty sure bet. So 2 cheapos that save budget hopefully means 2 new figures and 2 other reissues with molding changes.
I'm sticking with my original list:
War Machine (almost no budget)
Modular (almost no budge)
Grey Gargoyle (in the original show/line, almost no budget)
Julia Carpenter Spider Woman (female, new head)
Mandarin (new mold with lots of reuse potential for the future, avoids the cultural stereotype problems with the animated look)
Blacklash (reused buck, the rest is all new)
Forgot to add, give me a nice Oversized surprise (Hulkbuster please).
Man I can't wait for more reveals, can we have them now please Hasbro?

Although that's never stopped Hasbro, e.g. the Mandroid.
Re: Iron Man Retro Wave Wishlist
Yeah I think you're right. It would need to be very big. But it's also an army-builder, so a BAF isn't the best outlet for it.

Also, one of those 2 characters wasn't even a Fantastic four villain. So don't be shocked if they put someone like Wrecker in this line, lol.

Depends on the version. Usually he has some kind of mid-thigh boot, but the shape is inconsistent. And sometimes he has fins on his calf for some reason.DerRabbi wrote:Unicorn is Kang legs on a blank buck with a new head, right?

I would be thrilled to just get Mandarin, Blacklash, Titanium Man, and Crimson Dynamo. And on this retro carding, I feel there is a good chance it could happen.
I definitely pre ordered that War Machine today.

Re: Iron Man Retro Wave Wishlist
Has it been noted yet that War Machine does come with accessories the previous version didn’t have? He has open repulsor hands. I’m sure they’re just the static peg version every Iron Man came with, but maybe they’re hinged like the Modular hands.

Makes sense thanks for the answer!Stark Resilient wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 12:54 amThey said that it wouldn't make sense to do all the work to create the card back to only use it once so "maybe" they'll have more retro iron man later this year.
Yes to these! We got a Hydra Stomper and a similarly imposing Titanium Man would be a perfect baddie for the anniversary.

Re: Iron Man Retro Wave Wishlist
So excited about the possibilities raised by this line! I had to order a few War Machines to show support!
Unicorn would be a lot of fun. He needs to look strong. Maybe that new Vulcan body?
Dreadnaught robots would be a fantastic choice. Fun army builder!

Re: Iron Man Retro Wave Wishlist
I'd like to suggest Noted Iron Man Villain Cameron Hodge for the Iron Man Retro Card line, but he'd make a lot more sense as the BAF in a regular Iron Man wave.
