Also, for those wondering, both Longshots look to have pretty much the same skin tone, so thankfully the parts are largely interchangeable.

Re: X-Men Retro Legends
Got Avalanche today from Amazon but saw the Target goodness here and just ordered those I need. Cancelled Amazon. Wish there was actual parity with arrival dates. Kind of tired of the 6-months out arrival estimate that always ships early when you don't want it too and will stick to that date when you want them sooner! I don't think retail will ever recover for the 2019-2021 business. I'm glad I can count on next week (hopefully) and not wait for Amazon to surprise me in a bad way between now and April/May!

Re: X-Men Retro Legends
Got my figures from Target today, and I love them all. I got everyone but Wolverine, cuz I have more than enough Wolvies. Multiple Man is great, with more articulation than he could ever need, honestly, and perfect paint and head sculpts for the era being represented. Avalanche rocks, and I'm more than happy with his existing head and have no plans to mod him, though I don't begrudge those that do. Super juiced to complete Mystique's Brotherhood. Dark Phoenix is superb, love her articulation and paint, and the little flame bird is hella cool.
But for me the stars of the wave are Longshot and especially Spiral. Longshot has so much character in his face and his accessories are just fantastic. The fact that his bandolier is missing the 3 flechettes that are in his hand is just wonderful. The sheath for his knife made me think of how rare that is in this line, and I'm glad they went the extra mile for him. Spiral is a goddamn plastic goddess. Her sculpt and paint are dry and beautiful, and her articulation is just top-notch. They did an awesome job fitting all of those arms, each with pinless double elbows into a relatively small torso. I have her posed up with all of her weapons in her hands and she steals the spotlight from every other figure on my shelves.
I couldn't be happier with this wave, and it makes me very excited for the future of this line. I was starting to get a bit cold on Legends, because my wants list has shrunk significantly in the past couple of years, but this wave has reinvigorated my passion. I cannot wait for the next waves to hit!

Re: X-Men Retro Legends
The Wolverine figure in this wave has arguably some of the best unmasked heads coming with it in my opinion. They look better in person than in videos, so be sure to pick that figure up eventually if for no other reason than to add to your unmasked head collection.

I don't get all the Wolverine hate. I LOVE this figure, it's pinless, it's in a very classic costume from both the comics and Toybiz days and both head sculpts are fantastic and really changes up other Wolverine figures. A good head sculpt goes a long ways. Hasbro really needs to just invest in them to move products.

Re: X-Men Retro Legends
I got Spiral from BBTS and she's fantastic. Albeit, the arms are slightly gummy, so breaking them loose to articulate was a little more delicate than I'd imagined, but worth not tearing the pegs. I don't care for either of the gold weapons at all. The gold sword is so warped on mine. But she doesn't need them and I've got a million katanas from other figures to swap with.
I'm thinking of doing a really subtle blue wash on the costume to add some detail and depth. I'll post pictures if I do. But man, figure of the year for me so far. She's just so well made. I want more unique sculpts in this line if they put this much work in.

Re: X-Men Retro Legends
Amazon updated Longshot and Logan to Wed Feb 8. Pulse also sent shipping soon notice for my full wave. Target says my order should be here tomorrow, but tracking has shown no movement from Goodyear. And I don’t think UPS delivers on Sundays but I could be wrong. Just super eager to get Spiral. I already have a sense on the rest, but Spiral is the obvious winner.

Re: X-Men Retro Legends
I got the wave delivered from Target last night and it really is fantastic overall. Spiral is definitely the star though. She and Avalanche along with the new Blob figure really make me want to get the Fall of the Mutants-era Freedom Force and X-Men teams completed, even if they aren't Freedom Force specific looks. I assume that Destiny is coming eventually, but I doubt we ever see Stonewall, Crimson Commando, or Super Sabre. It would be nice to get Rogue in her 80s workout look and Psylocke in her classic pink too.

Re: X-Men Retro Legends
1. My Target set arrived yesterday, but sadly the cards were not mint.
2. I received The Pulse emails last night.
3. Spiral is my #1 ML of 2023. She is going to be hard to beat.
4. I can't wait for Blob.
5. Hasbro, please, please, please don't skimp on Destiny whenever you release her.

Amazon updated Phoenix for a Wednesday delivery. I got two in December, haven't opened them or Wolverine. Amazon hasn't moved Spiral's date.

Re: X-Men Retro Legends
Got my figures today. MM is my fav. Was surprised I actually don't dislike Avalanche. Now have to dig up Pyro so the buddies can be reunited. Biggest disappointment is Phoenix. Hate the face sculpt and paint and the shade of red just doesn't work. *Sigh* Guess I'll never own a decent version of the evil version of my favorite comic heroine--thanks a lot, TRU, for making me miss out on the best version ever.
