I was planning on putting these on a record shelf, but the card back is so flimsy that they'd eventually bend...
Thought Hasbro was using their Legends thick stock for these cards. Are they more like SW Vintage Collection or even (gulp) those uber flimsy GI Joe Retro Collection?

Whelp, I don't know either of those. It's thicker than MOTU Origins (which is the shittiest I know of), but less thick than a 6" retro legends figure. Definitely thinner than a Super7 reaction figure. Hope that helps somewhat.

Saw an Ebay seller selling wave 3. $80 for 7 figures and free shipping.

Thanks for the head's up about Dorkside - they were super easy to get the first two waves from after I never saw a single figure locally. Just preordered from them.

I'm done searching for these. Just ordered wave 3 from Entertainment Earth. Stay 1960-1970s, Hasbro!

How do you all feel about Bullseye from wave 3 coming with sai weapons instead of guns?

Well he's throwing playing cards on the card art so guns would still be wrong

Doesn't bother me though. They obviously have a smaller budget they are working with on these...for now.

My 12YO discovered this line and I am really enjoying collecting these with him, so I don't want to see it end anytime soon. For him, one of the coolest things about the line is that everything from the character selection to the card art to the sculpts, really feels as close as he can get to collecting a toyline in the 80s.

How deep do you think this line can/should go? It seems like they are burning through a lot of the big names rather quickly to me. If they stick strictly to just the characters/outfits appropriate to the retro 80s timeline their style is emulating, can you see this going past a few more waves at most? Or should they start doing more modern versions in the retro style?

There’s still a ton to go if they even just did the Secret Wars heroes/villains line-up (which they’ve already done more than).

This line could have a hundred figures easy just sticking to Avengers, FF, X-Men, and Spidey heroes and villains without going too deep.

Yeah, I hope they don’t do that. The charm of this line is feeling like you’d find the figures on the pegs in 1984.
