Yeah Ike leaving is a long time coming for the company... terrible dude.
Most of the phase 1 and 2 issues in the MCU were due to him. My favorite was that the real villain of Ironman 3 was suppose to be Maya Hansen, I believe they were going to even merge some madame masque elements in with her too. But Ike through a fit and said "no she wont sell action figures" and they ended up making Killian the villain (who didn't get an action figure anyway)

Re: Missing MCU characters/Future Marvel anniversary figures (pt. 2)
I actually remember that Iron Man 3 story! And not a single Aldrich figure to this day haha. From what I've heard about Ike's character I'm sure he was just a peach to work with as the MCU became more diverse.
Seeing Marvel/Disney trim the fat is giving me so much hope for the MCU and Legends waves in the near future.

Side note, I just noticed the Into the Spiderverse Spider-Woman figure has some thick thighs! Proof that Hasbro can make a better Ms. Marvel and give us an accurate Monica and Darcy! Hmm interesting.

Killian not getting a figure either is just a hilarious/enraging footnote to the story. I would absolutely buy an MCU version of Madame Masque, but Killian isn't on my wishlist at all.
Re: Missing MCU characters/Future Marvel anniversary figures (pt. 2)
Would Killian have still been a character, or just a minion or hers? Either way, it would have only strengthened her character and the Madama Masque aspect really would have been great to have on screen.spideyboy1111 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 8:13 pmYeah Ike leaving is a long time coming for the company... terrible dude.

Wasn't Eleanor rumored to become Madame Mask early on? Or was it Melina as Iron Maiden? Or both? Lol.
Not that Maya wouldn't have worked as well. But one way or another the character may still get her chance. Too bad for Maya tho.

I could see playing up the jilted ex aspect of her with Tony, and kidnapping/experimenting on Pepper. I forget which comic it was but I would totally have swiped the bit with Tony professing his love to her and disarming her just to get Pepper away for Iron Man 3. Since the theme of that movie was creating your own demons, that would have been a good one.
And yeah, both of those (Eleanor and Melina) were rumors.

Off topic, I took one suited body and slapped extra fire hands and the retro Johnny Blaze head on it, and for now that's my Aldirch Killian unless Hasbro makes one of their own

I know no one here likes Minimates, but stop saying "such & such a character has never gotten an action figure before" when they have...

I was being sarcastic last post, but if you want me to be honest....I could not care less about minimates or if someone brings them up. It doesn't effect my life in any meaningful capacity. So your reply here is kind of....useless. If my post seems a bit hostile, well....my jokey reply was met with a hostile one. You get what you giveTENIME_art wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 3:37 pmThey are articulated plastic figures.
If you don't want them brought up, then specify "never had a 6" figure made."

Iron Maiden i never saw, and that would make little sense, Eleanor was rumored only because madam masque plays a good villain for Kate in the books and she has ties to kingpin

no one really knows, id assume he would be, but the twist would be she's really the one one manipulating him and pulling stringsRu_1977 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 8:43 pmWould Killian have still been a character, or just a minion or hers?
