I wonder why hasbro can backtrack the tv offerings like the trscksuits & ronin but not do the same with movies.

Ages ago on a livestream they mentioned they we’re listening to fans who want a mom of scarlet witch. Along with agatha but other than that I do think so.

Yeah, but i would like something more consistent. Anniversary waves for mcu we get every few years, i think has could should get at least one a year. The mcu have a 15 year history plenty of figures that could be rereleased with better decos along with newly sculpted figures.

I would also like us to get the make up movie figures more frequently as well. Since this year is A60th we know already, we will be 3 years removed from the Saga line come next year for whatever theme ends up being. My hope is next year is movie focused for the premium program, or like someone said give us a wave that reissues like 4 figures from the past and offers us maybe 3 new characters each year. Which is what I hope this Best of MCU thing ends up becoming. But at least this year in thay wave from the leaked list, only new I see is Iron Man Mk 2, which really isn't new.

I think a wave with a couple of 2-packs a year would be good. Hasbro has a 15 year back log and they definitely wouldn’t need to do brand new sculpts for everything, plenty of reuse to be had!

Gosh I really agree that at least a yearly 1 per year random MCU backlog wave would be great!!!
You can fill it with SOME repaints/redecos of older costumes/already released figs with updated headsculpts so that Hasbro can get it's moneys worth but please give it some new and never done before characters to fill these holes!
The anniversary line release in the leaks for this year is fun but doesn't really have any NEW characters yet to see figure form yet which isn't too exciting. I think I am most excited for the Nick Fury (although already in the upcoming leaked disney + wave) and the Mk2 Iron-man cause different kind of!

Re: Missing MCU characters/Future Marvel anniversary figures (pt. 2)
it may happen now that they're halting and slowing down content. But it would unfortunately not be a thing at the rate they were going... too much MCU to promote at once and they don't really want to waste time revisiting a previous film while trying to promote the next one. It's likely why they rather let a little pile up, so they can hype it up by going back to it and have more "never been dones" than they would. This years "best of" wave will likely see a little retooling, and could very well lead to a yearly thing where they sneak someone from the past in that's never been done too. you never know!Rawr993 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 10:12 pmspideyboy1111 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 8:29 pmthey do, with anniversary waves.Rawr993 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 3:43 am

Re: Missing MCU characters/Future Marvel anniversary figures (pt. 2)
I wasn't sure where to put this but since I only really care about MCU figures I'll put it here lol. Obviously, things are a little crazy in the world. Here in the US companies have been down sizing, changing course, and trimming fat to survive our current economy. We've seen it with Hasbro raising prices, no accessories, etc. It sucks for everyone BUT like a Phoenix from the ashes, there is always a new normal that'll be different from the one we're on now. And I think it's looking good for the MCU. Rumor has it Marvel wants to narrow down to only 3 films and 2 series per year. Which is potentially great news for getting more and needed characters in the waves. 2 years ago I would have hoped this means each D+ show just gets its own wave now. But I kinda like the way its being done now where anyone from any show can be in the wave. It can continue like that except now they'll have more room to focus on the current show as well. Instead of 2 characters from 4 different shows and maybe one make up character we could now get like 5 characters from one show and maybe 2 make up characters.
Also, Ike Pearlmutter just joined Victoria Alonso in the fired from Disney line. I may be wrong but from what I'm reading he was in charge of Marvel consumer products. Does that mean he had hand in telling Hasbro which characters get figures? And if so, I wonder what kind of effect his absence will have?
It's crazy times but I swear I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully Hasbro can see it too and they can focus less on juggling the millions of MCU content and forever changing release schedules and more on the good quality work they can do.

As far as layoffs go, Perlmutter was a fantastic choice. I don't know how much a hand he had in what hasbro did but it would make sense. Wasn't he also in charge of Toybiz before?
