I hope that brown and tan wolvie does come out next month without any further delays. Once that version is released I don’t think I’ll ever need another costume variant of Wolverine. Both the classic tiger stripe (or the 90’s variant) and the brown and tan have typically been my favorite costumes that Wolverine has worn so I’ll officially be set unless one of these figures manages to break or become run down at some point in the future, I don’t think they’ll ever be replaced.

Speaking of which though, was this figure ever shown off at any of the virtual Medicom shows last year? I spent the afternoon searching for “booth” pics of these figures on google and I couldn’t find anything.

If memory serves me right, the Medicom virtual show was more virtual than show. They had a wall of shelves with all their MAFEX on them. It was a pretty neutral setup, just one fig next to the other, not a dynamic multi character setup or anything like that. When you clicked on a specific fig, I think it just loaded up a sub window that showed you the product shots. I don't believe there was any new photography of the figures. But 2020 was kind of a blur TBH :?

Weird that Wolverine comes out before Magneto, whom I believe was solicited several months before.

I want to believe that you have a file cabinet with a bunch of archived foot notes from past weeklies somewhere in your home, and you were only able to find this exact information thanks to the Dewey Decimal System and the use of Boolean search terms.

Desperately.

Heh, I honestly do have most of my image folders and notes from all the Weeklys, but it's easier to just search the Fwoosh front page.

Thanks!

Really looking forward to this Wolverine (and Magneto and Psylocke and Gambit and Jean Grey and basically all of the comic Marvel and DC figures Mafex has solicited over the last year).

A funny thing started happening to me over the last year or so. Back in the 90’s I was pretty stubborn when it came to the costume variations of Wolverine that I preferred to have in toy form. It always fell to either the 90’s version of the tiger stripe costume with the edgier details and the x insignia on the belt, or the brown and tan costume. Over the last several years my desires evolved and I wanted more Wolverine variations than I knew what to do with when Hasbro eventually went in heavy with the X-Men. But now it seems like I’m regressing to my childhood years and I just want the basics again. I’ve got the Mafex 90’s tiger stripe, now give me the brown and tan and I should be good. I don’t care about the others. Even from legends.

I was just on Amiami and was reminded today that Ben Reilly spidey has a September release date. I so hope that this figure is one of the few lucky ones that manages to come out on time.

There are usually only two reveals a month so I think we’re done until July

Hoping to get in 2022:

Daredevil
Rogue
Nightcrawler or Beast
Traditional Magneto

But not expecting those, either. I wonder what Marvel characters are big in Japan?

I would probably cry if they made a Daredevil. Can't see it happening, though.
