I have not heard of our Skrull figures getting pierced through the wings, but I would be curious to see a picture, so I could see if customer service needs to get involved.

Apocalypse is sold out at the warehouse level, so I would order him if you see him available, as he may not be again. A second run is possible, but not currently planned.

Unfortunately I probably won't get a chance to until the weekend.

My Skrull and Apocalypse shipped from BBTS and should arrive on Friday. Very excited for Apocalypse in particular. I saw him in person at NYCC last year, and he looked fantastic. Very large and the closest to a classic look we’ve seen since the original Toy Biz ML BAF. He’s already a candidate for top ten figure of the year for me.

I haven’t decided whether to display him with my Marvel Select X-Men or to have him replace my Hasbro Apocalypse BAF in my main X-villains displayS

They are different characters. The Marvel Select Skrull was impersonating Black Bolt in the Illuminati comics, and he attacks the Illuminati in a pretty epic battle. His costume is primarily the same as Black Bolt with some gold and embellishments. He has the powers of Black Bolt and Mr. Fantastic and presumably those of Professor X and Dr. Strange since he is able to fight back telepathically against Xavier and he’s able to break Strange’s Cytorrak binding spell.

Then during the main Skrull invasion, a second Super-Skrull with the combined powers of all of the Illuminati shows up. He has a cape like Dr. Strange and some Iron Man armored components. That Illuminati Skrull is fairly prominent in the big action shots. I don’t think he has a speaking role.

Great info, thanks! That makes me much more interested in getting this given that Hasbro is unlikely to do this look since they've gone with the other version.

Amazon is now showing Apocalypse as available to purchase from them for $29.99. I hesitate to call it "in stock" though because the listing shows you'll get it at the end of April, which means they probably have a few now and more incoming.

Really digging how this Apocalypse looks with Mezco figures. The more realistic face sculpt and the height looks leagues better with the more realistic Mezco figures compared to putting Legends with Mezco.

Got my Apocalypse from Entertainment Earth yesterday and I like the figure. Marvel Select really does a fine job when it comes to massive sized characters like Hulk, Apocalypse, etc.

Apocalypse is my favorite figure so far this year. Plus look at all the accessories for UNDER $30 ( I do get a 15% discount at my LCS). Makes Marvel Legends seem more of a rip off.

Hey, man, licensing fees!

Oh, wait.......Diamond Select has to pay Marvel licensing fees too? And a big Apocalypse with tons of accessories is $4 more than a bare bones Hasbro repaint of the same handful of bucks? Hmmmmmm......

I just got Apocalypse today from my LCS. I wasn't planning to pick this guy up, but in person......I couldn't resist. The attachments alone are worth it. Drill, spiky ball, menacing claw.....it's all there! Great paint apps with many different shades of blue. His head might be a tad too big and his cables are pretty stiff making moving his arms a bit of an issue (not impossible, but more malleable material would have helped). Overall, absolutely worth the price.
