Re: Almighty Legends - Coming Soon to Kickstarter
At first, I wasn’t really that interested in this line. But the nerdzoic interview really changed my mind.
I’m quite interested in these archangels. The concept of them having animal inspiration for the armors really grabbed my attention.

I just posted a couple of height comparisons and scales of the Azrael figure on the Almighty Legends Facebook page. Hopefully, it helps give you an idea of scale.

So they are slightly smaller than Legends which is my main collecting line. Kind kills my interest in it, as the Godlike figures like Thor/Hercules are bigger, still. Hope it goes well for you, though.

I only became aware of the D13 figures from this thread, but it looks like they are focusing on Jesus and other people in the Bible, where Almighty Legends is focusing on the 3 Archangels and 4 Horsemen

Do we know if these lines scale, or if they will be covering the same / different characters?thewyldman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 8:11 pmYes they are two different lines. The timing coincidence comes down to the Christian liturgical season of lent being about the same length as a Kickstarter campaign with both of these ending on or around Easter.EICzerofour wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 7:02 pmI think I am a little bit confused. So Biblical Adventures did not rebrand to Almighty Legends, and they are two separate projects coming a day apart with similar themes?

Re: Almighty Legends - Coming Soon to Kickstarter
He looks cool ngl, I am not familiar with the original character and betting that this does not look much like him, but it is a cool winged figure with a sword and shield regardless. So far I am thinking maybe on two of the figures, but would honestly like a more source material accurate Jesus.

Hey, just fyi you're kind of hijacking this guy's thread talking about his Kickstarter to talk about another Kickstarter. You should start a new thread so potential backers for either one don't get confused.Dwalt wrote:Today at D13: Michael the Archangel

Naw. They’re similar KSs starting at the same time but different enough to be unique. There’s not enough activity for either by themselves, but together we can create more buzz and keep the thread near the top.Mister Skeezler wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 1:11 amHey, just fyi you're kind of hijacking this guy's thread talking about his Kickstarter to talk about another Kickstarter. Re: Almighty Legends - Coming Soon to Kickstarter
No, Mister Skeezler is right. You should create another thread for the other Kickstarter or create a catch all thread that covers Kickstarters or bible stuff or whatever, if you like. But to repeatedly post off topic in this guy's thread is sort of rude.Dwalt wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 5:37 amNaw. They’re similar KSs starting at the same time but different enough to be unique. Especially when several commentators are confused about if these lines are connected or not because of their similar themes and launch datesdomu wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 6:36 amNo, Mister Skeezler is right. Almighty Legends - Coming Soon to Kickstarter
Just adding my position as well.
I think different threads is the way to go.
It’s exactly the similarities that are mentioned as a reason to keep it together that will be a recurring problem.
New thread followers will constantly ask “are they two different lines” and things like that.
Not to mention the line are different enough to attract different public.
For now I would follow both threads. But I think I won’t be interested in Biblical Adventures for long. I’m definitely interested in Almighty Legends.
And lastly:
Even the four horsemen lines that share parts have different threads. We have multiple threads for Mafex and Mezco according to fandom.
Why have one thread for two completely independent lines from completely different companies just because they share the same inspiration.
It’s like keeping GIJoe and Valaverse together because both are military figures (and as I think about it, these would have more in common than almighty legends and biblical adventures).
I understand where Dwalt’s idea come from, and I’m really thankful for all the info he’s been posting about biblical adventures, but it just doesn’t seem to match the forum overall organization, imo.

This prototype looks nice:

Not the prettiest looking wing joints, but I like that you're trying something different that allows for a much larger variety of movement.

Re: Almighty Legends - Coming Soon to Kickstarter
Since I'm not associated with Biblical Adventures, I wouldn't mind separate threads to help alleviate any confusion between the two lines of figures. I'm excited to announce that I'll be on the Youtube tomorrow Not Another Retro Channel at 10 EST and sent out the painted prototype to a toy photographer and reviewer for some exciting shots. Also putting together a newsletter today and finalized the stretch goals for the Kickstarter that launches in only a couple of short weeks.
