I might get the primate figure if they make it. Seems likely they will.

As soon as these are available at a different e-tailer, I will be pre-ordering immediately. These are figures I've been waiting for just about forever and the monolith looks to be a perfect size.

And Moon Watcher looks like he could make a decent Moon Boy for Devil Dinosaur!

Pretty cool that they made the ape-man. Didn't expect that.

I do think this is a license that would benefit from more articulation, though. Yes, I am aware of the MAFEX figures.

Got my orders in at BBTS, hella happy to know I will finally have some figures from this movie coming to my collection! Especially excited for the Moon Watcher, that Monolith looks huge!

I gotta say, I like how they handled this one. I'm not expecting miracles with the faces or articulation but overall this has a clean look to it that I enjoy.

I love this movie and it’s sequel. Even though it isn’t very action packed, Arthur C. Clarke’s books are really worth a read. I hope they will do figures from the sequel too. I really want to see Roy Scheider, Helen Mirren, John Lithgow, the Dr Chandra character (the programmer of Hal 9000), some of the other characters from the Leonova crew, Old Man David Bowman, Ancient Man David Bowman and Star-Child David Bowman. I don’t know how deep they are planning this property past the four shown, but I will certainly be buying them.

I might get Chaka and the Monolith but the movies didn’t wow me much.

I was sure never expecting figures for this movie. It gives me hope for Blade Runner. Maybe 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Maybe James Bond. I really would like to sit in on some of Super7’s board meetings where they are planning out the years ahead!

After seeing the pictures I thought the primate figure looked interesting. But then I thought it looks like the kind of toy I would pay NECA $25 for, but can't really see paying more than twice that. These just aren't figures I need.
