Moe also seems to be missing the phone as well. That's too missing accessories.

Someone needs to honest review these guys. The above photo looks so freaking cheap. Unfinished seam running down the waist. Joints are ugly. Engineering from the 00’s. Uneven finish over the figure. Soft, blurry molding. It looks like it was cast in wax. There shouldn’t be any paint slop - these are simple as F designs, and they don’t need many paint hits at all, they are even lacking the cell shading trend. These just aren’t Ultimate versions of these characters, and the missing apron without an announcement from Super7 is corny at best, but likely cowardly.

I hate being a shade thrower and I usually defend most companies and give them the benefit of the doubt, but I really feel played here… mainly because I love these characters, I love the idea of this line, and I really want to give S7 $55 for a $55 version of these characters. I don’t want to give them $55 for what I’d pay $18 for not too long ago. I’d rather less accessories (panda) and 1/6th scale for less money.

NECA made a $35 ALF figure that blows these out of the water, and I can’t believe ALF has more traction than The Simpsons… which is still on! My nieces are discovering it through Disney+ and love it… there is a market for these, done right, and they could be on shelves in brick and mortars, especially if S7 can get other figures there. Give me a matte $35 Moe with the same care to engineering, painting, and detail that ALF has and I’ll be a S7 loyalist. I want to be! Just make the darn family, do them well, then slowly add in variants and other characters, while re-releasing the family every so often with new heads, features, whatever. If NECA can sell B, C, and D tier cartoon TMNT characters, while putting out the 4 brothers in variations every so often… well… why not these?

Sorry for the bad vibes, ya’ll. I’m happy for those that have these and love them. At $55, well, I’m bummed. Likely still in for Krusty and Bartman because no one else has the license. Praying someone NECA steps into the ring, at some point.

I don't know when it happened, but it looks like BBTS updated the listing for Moe to remove the apron from both the product layout and the accessory list.

Well that's not a good sign is it? So much for the "just sitting at the factory" possibility...

Or BBTS doesn't know anymore than we do and just doesn't want its customers bothering them about it. Sort of a "Go ask Super7 for your apron, because we don't have it." I'm curious if anyone who ordered Moe from BBTS asked and got a response on it.

Someone on Reddit said they emailed S7 and got a response. This is from some random dude on Reddit, I don't know if this is legit, so don't hold it against me if it's not real:

We apologize for the missing apron that should have came with our Moe Ultimates! Figure. This seems to have affected a large number of units. We are expecting to receive replacement aprons at the end of February. We will be shipping these to all customers free of charge. If you did not purchase directly from us, please send us a proof of purchase and your shipping address and we will add you to our shipment list. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you for your patience and support.

I'm basically waiting for my figures to arrive from Super7 before I inquire with them. I'm giving them a chance to get their stock and assess what is (or isn't) in it and go from there. If it's news to them that BBTS got a bunch of Moe figures with no apron then it would explain the lack of communication. I will, however, be annoyed if they send out their own product without any attempt at an explanation as I shouldn't have to be plugged into Twitter toy collecting and places like The Fwoosh to know about this issue when I already paid them for something back in August 2021. I have to assume though that, at this point, they should have a pretty good idea of the situation and already should have sent something to those who purchased through them and alerted other retailers still waiting for stock. And that should be true whether or not the apron was cut intentionally or accidentally left out.

Good to see some confirmation. As long as they make it right, then I'm fine with it. I just hope they're not tempted to delay shipment on the figures for those who ordered direct until the aprons arrive. It would obviously save them some money, but we've waited long enough at this point.

I don't mind if they hold off on shipping Moe, but send the others out. I'm already annoyed that ordering directly from them doesn't mean getting them before other stores. Glad the other non-Simpsons stuff I have from them is pre-ordered through BBTS, for several reasons now.

The good fella over at Nostalgia Unboxed does very honest reviews of S7 product. There's been a few he liked and a few he REALLY did not like. He shit all over Robin Hood, for example. But he liked Lion-O a lot. So... if you're just interested in watching an honest take on the product, he's a good one to look for. At least until, like all the others, S7 starts sending him a bunch of free product and all of a sudden the worst figures they make are still 'pretty good.'

I got Homer today from bbts. It’s a fun figure I don’t like that the normal head has to be so episode specific so I went with the confused head but it’s still a really fun figure I’m still excited for this line and still want to get some characters from wave 1 I skipped for now
