They are looking really good. Now if Todd could deliver such nice swords with his figures, that'd be great.

Yeah agreed, these are looking really nice, especially Frodo. I'm a little concerned with the articulation for the Ringwraith, but plastic robes are always going to be restrictive. I may try to source some softgoods robes that I can weather and distress accordingly eventually.

I saw someone selling Frodo and Ringwraith the other day. I passed as they were lacking the BAF parts but curious as to how he got them so early. Not sure how I feel about Frodo’s Headsculpt if this is indeed the diamond select figs.Image

Let's not get into a Gollum 2.0 situation, the headsculpt seems to look exactly like in solicitation pics.

You think so? I couldn’t post a higher res pic since I’m not a VIP member but in my eyes, the sculpt looks entirely different. Hair looks longer and face looks more generic, could be paint tho

The hair looks the same to me, at first it looked longer around the neck but that's a shadow from the angle of the pic.

Single jointed knees however instead of the double solicited.

Yeah, articulation and accessories are usually a gamble with DST.

It looks like the same head sculpt as the SDCC clear Frodo. He has single jointed knees and elbows as well. The hair seems lower on the forehead than on the solicited pics. Almost like the factory didn't push his scalp all the way down. That could be what's throwing some people.

The figures look good to me. it's a bummer the sheath doesn't attach to the Wraith. But not the worst problem. I have 3 of the Wraiths on pre order. They should look really cool standing together. Frodo looks really nicely done though. It is hard to make out the detail of his face with the size of that picture, but it looks like him from what I can see.

I wouldn’t say they look, “exactly” alike. Similar but the final products head looks like the hair was maybe pushed down some which looks better but the face itself looks different as well. Could be the paint because the eyebrows look thicker and longer. The head even looks a tad smaller

Thanks for the close up pic :)

There are things that I like about both those likenesses. But I actually think I like the one being sold better than the proto. It reminds me more of younger Elijah then in the movies, where as the proto, while it looks like Elijah, just kind of reminds me of how he looks now or outside of the films. Something about the hair and likeness on the one being sold has a more LotR Elijah Frodo look. And that's what you'd want out of a LotR figure.

Frodo's looking pretty good. I think a custom paint job to make the eyebrows a little less intense will make it shine.

Is the final Frodo's eyes blue or brown? They look brown. That could be the main problem.

Hopefully this means we'll see these two in our hands very soon

The finished Frodo almost has a Finn Wolfhard vibe to him. Still dig it, though.

Frodo had that hairdo first, even with ST set in the 80s.

He’s looking pretty good to me.
